Had a gobbler all my life thanks to the gifts of genetics. I'm taking a leap and looking into surgery options. I would love to do liposuction using the tumescent technique for my chin area. Thanks to this forum I know I do that want a necklift due to cost. I do have a consultation set up with Dr Chhartre in Lee's Summit next Tuesday. I'm very excited to find out about cost and options.

How long have you wanted to do this for yourself and what made you take the leap to schedule a consultation?

When I realized that even with weight loss my chin stayed pretty much the same that's when it really started bothering me, that has been several years now. I have recently become friends with another women who talked candidly about her own procedures which were a nose job err rhinoplasty and breast augmentation that kinda gave me gumption to go after it, the chin lipo that is.

I had my consultation with Dr. Chhartre yestersay. Thethe staff and Dr. Chhartre were all professional, polite and patient with all my questions. DR. Chhartre did say that ideally I should obtain my goal weight .... since it did come up that since April of last yr I have lost 30.6 lbs , yes even that .6 matters , and then get a neck lift. Which would be the "ideal" he kept emphasizing that. I could do lipo and would see a difference, but stressed that I would need to be compliant with wearing the chin sling, which I intend to do. He would perform the Vaser liposuction which as I understand, use ultrasonic pulses to assist the surgeon in removing the fat cells and decreases damage to important tissues it is NOT laser. He does have an outpatient facility which he performs surgery in three days a week Mon/Wed/Fri..So for around $2350 I can get the procedure completed that includes labs, follow up appts and the sling it does not include the cost of the Rx's which would be Keflix (antibiotic) and pain meds it will take around 1.5 hrs it is performed under IV sedation (gen anaesthesia) I didn't ask specially at that time but I'm pretty sure I'm not driving home afterwards. I will check when I call to set up my appt on Friday 01/27/17!!!!, a 10% down payment/ deposit is needed to set the appt. Preferably mid March. I'm excited, a little nervous the only surgeries I've had is wisdom tooth extraction and an appendectomy when I was nine. Finally getting rid of this goobler!!! Will post pictures!

Monday Feb. 27th is my 2nd Consultation appt. for lipo procedure on Mar 8th....still pretty excited. Since I've been checking out my face more often as of late, I decided to call and ask about having a small lipoma (fatty-tissue growth) removed from my forehead, most people don't see it but I sure do!! and hey why not have it removed at the same time, the surgery staff that they would try to run it through insurance. Counting the days.....
