Bellafill Injections Left Multiple Lumps Across Both Cheeks

I went to Dr. Lucie Capek to get Bellafill injections. Though, instead of following the strict guidelines set forth for physicians on the main Bellafill website. (pp 21 of the .pdf document there),
1) she injects permanent Bellafill in a bright and sunny room, with no contrasting shadows, to be able to see what she was doing,2) No markers placed, so as to not lose sight of pinpoint injection areas, and3) No recordings were made of where she had injected on previous visits.Hence, I get multiple injections over areas that were already treated the last visit, causing visible and permanent lumps, as well as needle scarring, by going into the same injection point over and over again.I bring this to her attention, and request my money back, that I was traumatized and injured by her not following these important guidelines.Instead of acknowledging my concerns, she wrote me a 'letter of discharge', and has taken no responsibility to make this mistake right. Here are my 'Before and After' photos of her work. 4 visits, $3600. My injuries are permanent.A year later, I still have lumps and needle scars. My recommendation, from my own experience, is to instead go with temporary fillers, such as Radiesse, or Juviderm. For, there is no 'melter' for Bellafill, if a mistake of injecting too much filler is made, leaving behind permanent lumps.I find out much later, from another plastic surgeon, Dr. Kassir, that Bellafill is Methyl Methacrylate on a nano-particle scale. i.e. 'floor polish'. That is why it is called a 'permanent filler'.It does not go away in 6 months, like temporary dermal fillers, Juviderm or Radiesse will.As you see in these 'Before and After' photos, here are my injuries, that I've suffered with for a year now. When it came time to do the actual injections, she proceeded with her own method. If you do go and get Bellafill injected, be sure that it is administered by a physician who follows the strict .pdf instructions set forth for physicians. Here is an excerpt from that document on the main Bellafill website:Page 21 states,"13.The area and the borders of Bellafill® injection should be recorded on an illustration of a face for later comparison. Correction should be conservative during initial treatment.14.The physician should instruct the patient to report to him or her any evidence of adverse texture change in the surrounding treatment site. Other problems possibly associated with the use of Bellafill® should be promptly brought to the attention of the physician."My experience receiving these Bellafill injections by a physician who did not follow the above procedures, has been physically and psychologically-devastating.I will now have to get an upper facelift, laser treatment, then Juviderm injections ,just to try and mask the lumps from the over-injecting of permanent Bellafill.

Oh sorry you had this happen. Glad you posted to warn others!

Yes, the main thing is that it is very difficult for a client to receive justice in these situations, against an uncaring professional, who threw me to the curb with a 'have a nice life' letter of discharge, taking no responsibility for her mistake.

Man sorry to hear I've had artefill injections way back in 2013-2014 and I have granulomas hard lumps for The bovine spheres moved around in my face. The only way you are found to get rid of that concrete is for our to have a deep plane facelift.

I am in desperate need of help as I experienced the same thing. I had it injected under my eyes and am disfigured. I cannot find anyone to remove it? Did you find a surgeon?

I am not a doctor but let me tell you this- and do what you will with it. I had improperly placed bellafill that ruined my life for about 3 years. Recently something *insane* occurred to me that actually worked. If it's worth the risk to you- and you put it on your hands regularly anyway- I'll just put this here- Acetone (nail polish remover) dissolves plastic such as what's in bellafill. So if it's close to the skin and worth it to you... I look like me again. After doing everything under the sun to try and fix it cosmetically, save crazy injections and surgical removal.

This seems a bit odd. Injection scars? Bellafill corrects acne scars. If one has ever had Botox or filler hard to believe scars come from syringe. Since Bellafill lasts longer, it’s important to have experience doctor performing injections. So on before photos perfectly smooth skin. After pot marked. Something odd here.

I have has it done by 2 doctors same type of thing. Both doctors injected it spots were it did not need to go. Face is worse than it was before. I find most doctors could care less they just want your money. They both injected it in a super bright room, so they could not even see where the imperfections were. Total joke.

I had the same exact thing happen with 2 separate doctors. They were both horrible had no clue where to inject the permanent filler. They performed the procedure in a super bright room where no one would be able to see the variations in the smoothness of the skin. So they just injected randomly instead of fixing my acne scars they added to the problem, creating new lumps and bumps. Can any fool just order this stuff and start injecting patients with no training. It should not be sold to any Dr, who has not been thoroughly trained in the "ART" of injecting this stuff. They do not care after your treatment they have your money and good luck getting it back if they have done a horrible job and made your face worse.

(Here is an email written recently to this doctor, with no response. As with everything else that she has done concerning this mistake, a complete ignoring of my concerns.).

"Dr Lucy Capek, something to think about with other patients, who are less than five star happy with your results . (As your reviews page only shows).

Do you think that possibly I was five star fooled?

Yes, from the moment that you cut off communication with me, not even taking the time to look at your handiwork in person.

Every problem has its solution. Did you bravely offer communication with me, who paid you $3,000 to perform a careless injection procedure?

I wouldn't be this adamant about all of this, if it wasn't the truth.

It's been 3 years now. I want you to see what I look like.

No wonder I went elsewhere to get a second opinion, which then upset you, throwing me to the curb with a letter of dismissal, and pocketed the $3k.

I'm going to have to now spend thousands of dollars to get this remediated. I cannot stand looking like this anymore.

For you to take it personal and send me a letter of dismissal is beyond comprehension. But you did.

As you go about your multi-million dollar practice, looking as wonderful as ever, I hope that you will think about what you've done to another human being, and that you've ignored your responsibility as a doctor to finding a solution, to ease the suffering of what you caused.

I forgive you for doing this and ignoring my request to receive my money back.

Because this is what caused everything. You dug your heels in, got greedy and kept my $3k.

Instead of just acknowledging that you made a mistake, you tried to save face, and legally kicked me to the curb.

This is how I look to the world.

Imagine if this was done to your your face. How would that affect your business and your life ?

And you wonder why I passed out 50 flyers, with a mug shot, warning people about your careless injections?

Now I see on your website that BELLAFILL is not to be found. Hmm, I wonder why? lol

I'm still requesting my $3,000 back, so that I can get this taken care of.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards

Darin"
