After months of research to decide who would be best to perform my facelift I plumped on Mr Rajiv Grover and I'm so glad I did!
From the initial consultation he put me at my ease, he's such a caring man and genuinely focussed on making the end result sympathetic.
He asked to see photos of me going back ten years so that he could see how my face had changed and carefully explained the facelift procedure to me.
On the morning of the op at the Queen Elisabeth hospital I was understandable very nervous but he reassured and calmed me.

Correction!

I realised I made a mistake with the hospital. I was treated at the King Edward VII Hospital which is renowned for its charter to serve the Royal Family!

Hi, did you have any consultations with other PS?
March 21, 2016
Yes, I had one other consultation with a surgeon renowned for his work with celebrities but as soon as I met Mr Grover, saw examples of his work and boned up on his qualifications (he was President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) until last year when his term in office ended, I knew I couldn't go anywhere else.

Now off for some filler tomorrow
SuzyUKMarch 21, 2016
It's now nine months since I had my facelift. When I had my initial consultation with Mr Grover he told me that once things had 'settled' I should have a little filler to restore some of the volume my face has lost due to ageing / early menopause etc. So... tomorrow I'm off to see Dr Kieren Bong in Glasgow for some botox, tear trough filler and one of his 'liquid facelifts'.
Here I am now and I'll post some pics after the treatment.

Its good to see some photos of Mr Grover's work. You look great and got a really good improvement. The fillers should really enhance your look. I once considered Mr Grover for my revision facelift but I had not seen any pics of his work on forums like this so decided to go to the US.

Thanks, yes it seems most reviews on here are from US surgeons. He does have a few on here now though I'm pleased to say.

Ahh, I see, not many of Mr Grover's reviewers have posted pics, that's a shame because they've all given him 5 stars and I bet they all look great!

Hi Suzyuk. Great result. You look fabulous. Mr Grover is an absolute sweetie. Nice to see your photos online. On another matter what is a liquid facelift! Xx

Thank you!
A liquid facelift is just another name for fillers. Dr Bong will fill my cheeks, my nasolabial folds and tear troughs quite subtly so that my face looks softer and eyes less tired :)

Did your PS give you any idea how many syringes of filler will be needed?
March 21, 2016
4 syringes in the US would be about $2,500 with fillers lasting @ 1yr. Do they say it will last any longer that that?
March 21, 2016
They said to be prepared to go back in a year or so. It's not a cheap job trying to keep on top of things! :)

Was there ever any discussion of doing fillers During your surgery? Some PS here put filler in first then do the face/neck lifting. Makes no sense to me...why wouldn't you just wait to see how much improvement you get from the surgery and then, when all the swelling has dissipated and the internal scar formation has soften~ then you could see exactly what the surgery has accomplished and also see exactly where the filler would be best placed. Did your PS give you the choice as to when to use the filler?
