10 month post op

10 months since my original surgery. I love my breast! They have been good to me and they look very natural. I must complement Dr. Ortiz and the Fayetteville Plastic surgery team! I can finally give a full review of my experience so far with this surgery and how my recovery has been thus far. I am pretty sure I am at the point where I am done with recovery and just living free. I am back to heavy work outs and exercising and life is great. I am so happy with my decision. I am satisfied with my boobs and glad they feel very real, and look so natural. I've showed them off in the beaches, pools, dresses and have received nothing but compliments about them, how natural they look. So I would recommend to anyone thinking of it, to go with silicone- under the muscle. I have no complaints about this experience. Fayetteville Plastic surgery was great, and I am so so happy they exist in Fayetteville!

4 weeks post op for left and 6 weeks post op for right

Just an update. I'm being paitent and letting my breast heal. Of course like any surgery, time is needed. I am post 4 weeks for my left breast (right one in the picture.... Had hematoma) and I am post 6 weeks for my right breast (left one in the picture) they are uneven if you look hard. I'm certain they will fall even at some point. I'm afraid to work out.... I am still going to wait about another month before I do any upper body workouts. I've started lower workouts with my legs. That has been great. I tried on bathing suits as well. They fit nice! I feel like they only look right in a haunted type top. I don't really like the strapless look. All in all, things are fine! I'm happy.

Hematoma surgery left breast (day of review)

Yayyyyyyyy!! I feel relived and happy. Honestly, I do.

Today I had my hematoma surgery (that’s what I call it, I don’t know the official name) on my left breast w/ Dr. Ortiz and Nurse Jesse. I feel good. I expected my chest to be a lot more swollen and painful. The initial surgery, the pain was pretty consistently painful the first day when I got home, which was expected. Today, the pain is manageable and the swelling is not bad at all (view pics). Prior to the surgery, Dr. Ortiz discussed a lot of things and educated me a little more. That time period prior to this particular surgery can get very scary for a patient but he and Nurse Jesse really took the time to explain, educate, examine, and comfort me. We discussed what a hematoma was and my experiences in the ER (horrible, lol). We also discussed how he was going to conduct the surgery, and the surveillance plan post surgery. My confidence was boosted, and my fears and anxiety were at ease. I then received an IV and don’t remember much after that. My bestie (my escort) let me know that at my post opp appointment, we plan on discussing the results of how the surgery went (I am interested to know how much blood was around my implant prior to the surgery).

Dr. Ortiz gave me a drainage tube for my left breast (the one he did the surgery on) It will be removed after I get my blood drainage down below 10cc a day. I’ve never seen anything like this but it has definitely boosted my confidence. This draining tube will ensure that I wont run the risk of blood vessels bursting and swelling, like before. I will get it removed in a week. I have to drain the collection cup every few hours or when it gets around 50cc’s.I record my amount collected.

After a few days after the ER visit (horrible memory) and the surgery today I was able to do some true reflecting and thought about some contributing factors on my end. So, like most, we tend to think that we are tough. Sometimes things doctors recommend, we tend to take is as a suggestion or a thing that we think we have an option to doing…. Well unfortunately I learned the hard way. And hopefully, if anyone reading this will also take my experiences and relate from patient stand point. Believe me…. Listen to what Dr. Ortiz/ Nurse Jesse say. Esp., when trying to workout. I admit that I tried to see what doing push ups felt like. I tried doing about 3 push ups that afternoon. Which I believe 100% contributed to me getting a hematoma. I’m not happy with myself for that (when it dawned on me) so please, don’t even try…. It can turn out very bad.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the care I am receiving. I have something to compare it to now. I know I'm in a unique situation, and I know I won't be forgotten. I am very personable, bubbly and friendly. My initial visits leading up to my original surgery did not seem as personable as this time. I am grateful and would suggest this team to anyone I'm excited to see how they will look in a few months. ????
