Face/Neck Lift Major Disappointment
MariemagJuly 6, 2022
Dr. Power performed a neck and face lift on me January 2021. The surgery and recover went well and the doctor was very attentive and said all the right things, hence the 1 star. Unfortunately, six months after surgery, once the swelling started subsiding, I was alarmed to notice that the skin on my neck was sagging. I brought this to Dr. Power’s attention. She shrugged it off by blaming the sagging to a cosmetic procedure I had a few years ago. Six months later, once the swelling had totally subsided, to my incredible disappointment and dismay, the sagging and wrinkles to the neck had worsened to the the point that I now had my pre-surgery neck. At this point, Spring 2022, I booked another appointment with Dr. Power. Once again she ignored my concerns and suggested that we could explore options to “tighten” the skin without surgery but said there really weren’t any procedures available right now. Dr. Power also advised me she absolutely wouldn’t perform a correction to the neck with surgery. (I would not have agreed to surgery, having lost all confidence in her abilities.) Then Dr. Power took pictures of my neck and sent me on my way without a second thought asking me to call her if I had questions. It’s so wrong that I paid Dr. Power $20,000 in good faith for a neck and face lift and didn’t get the results that were promised by her. I look exactly the same as before the surgery and with a $20,000 price tag, this was my one shot at getting this procedure. I notice that there is only one facelift review in Realself for Dr. Power. I wish I had noticed the lack of those reviews before choosing Dr. Power.
