Terrible Experience Worse Outcome

First off let's start with the positive and how Dr. Honrado and the staff is before you pay them: Dr. Honrado is very compassionate, kind, and seems to connect well with people. I think he is so nice he does not know how to say no and truly wants to help everyone he can (even though sometimes he should know his limits and cannot). The staff seem great and friendly as well, until you challenge them on something not being right. That is when they begin to be contentious and think they know it all.
Now lets get down to how they become AFTER you pay them. I went to doctor honrado who was highly recommended to seek his help with a reconstructive surgery on my ears. I asked all of the right questions and he assured me he could make an improvement. All seemed well before I went to the OR. I figured for 10K and based on all of our assessments, that this would be worth it. Pre op appointments went well and lets get to the day of surgery.
Day of surgery I was really nervous but decided to do it awake so I knew what was going on. My goal was to bring back out my ears a bit and dr honrado used a cadaver cartilage graft(s) to help do so. He was great and showed me a mirror throughout the 2 1/2 hour operation. I asked to bring them out more (because they will always look larger and protrude more when you are swollen) and he said "I will bring them out as much as I can." Lets get to the results and where things turned ugly. He overpromised and underdelivered to say the least.
RESULTS: My left ear is a complete DISASTER. The cadaver cartilage piece is sitting on a nerve and its extremely painful. He used SEVEN sutures to hold it in place, which those sutures have shifted. The right ear is even worse than it was when I met him. So I call the office with serious concerns and they say you're still healing and what you are seeing is not the "finished product." Like what am I some freakin toy? Lol thanks captain obvious. I knew right then and there that I made a huge mistake. I hope the rest of this can help someone else from going through the same thing as I did.
So I had one final painfully awkward appointment with this gem of a doctor and that went nowhere. Because guess what, when things go wrong doctors will rarely say, you know what yeah I'm not satisfied either. They are ALWAYS happy with their work no matter how bad it gets. The staff couldnt even look me in the eyes and did not say a word to me or my mom. Real professional right? Oh well, life goes on.
VERDICT: I received a portion of the fee back for a skin graft the doctor didnt even use. Make sure you read your proposal and question something if it does not look right. They will charge you for something even if it is not done.
They may be great and it looks like he does do some great work. But he needs to know his limits and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do NOT go with him for any type of reconstructive or secondary surgery/work. No matter how much he tells you he can do it, just don't.
