I didn't go through with my scheduled surgery with this doctor. I came to his clinic after one of my 11 year old implants ruptured. On my first consultation he told me it was impossible to go through my original scar (underside of my nipple) and insisted that the only way to preform the surgery was to make new incisions under the breast. Less than a week from the surgery date his nurse called me to tell me I owed $900 for my implants that had a lifetime replacement on them, when I made it clear that wasn't financially possible for me, she backtracked and said I didn't need to pay. She then mentioned the doctor ordered a smaller size implant for me, which wasn't what I agreed on. There were so many red flags and inconsistencies for me to list here. I decided to cancel my surgery. The receptionist told me that they would keep a $475 deposit, then put me on the phone with the nurse who then told me I'd have to pay 20%. The doctor barely looked at my breasts or discussed possible complications due to my recent battle with cancer. I did eventually get a 100% refund. At that point I was grateful to have gotten out of my contact for my own peace of mind. After seeing a few other surgeons I found out that going in through my first scar was absolutely possible! I've now had the surgery and couldn't be happier with the results! What really upsets me is that Dr. Bruneteau told me something was "impossible" and I believed him! It wasn't impossible, if he didn't feel comfortable doing it, he should have just told me that rather than lie to me to get my business. He was willing to knowingly give me something I didn't want (more scars) rather than be truthful and lose a few grand. The doctor I went with told me he was a "doctor first" and businessman second. Dr. Bruneteau is a salesman first, businessman second and somewhere down the line a doctor.
