WORTH IT
When I turned 61, the woman looking back from my mirror looked tired, sad and unrecognizable. Heavy eyelids, coupled with deep set eyes are in my genetics. Stress enhanced the aging process as well. I’d been thinking about an upper eye lift and bi-coronal brow lift for a couple years … now it was time to pick a surgeon—- which led me thankfully to Dr Steven White in Dallas! After meeting him I had no doubt in my choice.
I was concerned about looking ‘surprised’ or ‘done’…unnatural. I just wanted to turn back time for a fresher version of me. My wish was granted by Dr White!
It may sound counterintuitive but I wasn’t nervous at all pre-surgery. I KNEW Dr White is the best in the business and would take care of me.
When I woke up from the procedure and looked at my fresh eyes- I felt like me again! The pain was very minimal and I spent the first night at Presby as he directed. Dr White checked on me early the next day and I was released home. Of course I looked a little rough the first few weeks but I couldn’t help but smile when I took progress pics - I was back! I can’t express enough how mostly pain free the whole experience was; maybe a 2 out of 10 on the scale.
I chose Dr White because he explained everything to me in great detail, and answered the long list of questions I had. His confidence and chair side manner eased my mind. His fantastic office support-Melanie and Sierra- filled in any blanks, as well as making me feel so supported in my decision.
Along with the relief of being able to drive again without tilting my head back to see thru my heavy lids, the surgery also repaired the lifelong ptosis in my left eye! No more forcing my eyes open for pictures and thus having a daily headache from muscle strain. Or retaking family pictures because my left eye was mostly closed or crossed looking. I had no idea how much that bothered me till post surgery.
I would unequivocally recommend Dr White for any cosmetic work. He’s a surgical artist and is very meticulous in his craft. He’s also a very kind and compassionate human who truly cares for his patients.
The best part of my story is —- I saw my former husband for the first time in five years about 3 months post op. He actually did a double-take when he saw me- which made my day lol.
You won’t regret choosing Dr White. I am forever grateful that I did. . Thank you.

Loving results!

I’m now almost one year post bleph and bi coronal brow lift. LOVING THE RESULTS. My eyelids have relaxed some but still are a joy to apply makeup to. I recently started a new job (62.5 yo) with a younger work group. Having a more youthful appearance gave me the confidence to put myself out there in a new role. I feel like I look the age I am inside. Totally worth it.

Would you comment on brow lift recovery, like itching, pain and tightness? Also, is your incision hidden in your hair?

Recovery was pretty easy- the worst part for me was the dark bruising around my lower eyes. That took about 6 weeks to totally go away.
No itching; just tenderness on my lids and on my scalp. The incision is hidden in my hairline from ear to ear. There were about 77 staples and some stitches in my scalp. They didn’t really hurt at all even when the nurse pulled them out at 10 days.
My eyelids were pretty tight for a few months but no trouble closing my eyes. I kept eye gel in them at night for a couple months. They have relaxed now.
The recovery for this procedure was super easy to deal with. I was back at work in about 5 days. I looked a little worse for wear but still happy!
