Breast Reduction w/liposuction to auxiliary /upper back area!

ORIGINAL POST

44 y/o, 1 child, ready to start the process!

knack

I've had huge, sagging breasts for as long as I can remember! I didn't really start noticing them until I was in college and people made reference to them. I have a sister and we look very much alike. However, she has very small breasts. People would refer to me as the sister with big boobs and her as the sister with the little boobs. Lol!

Before I had my child, I had big breasts and a flat stomach. After I had my child, my breasts remained big and my stomach got bigger. I really need some relief! I have severe neck, back, and shoulder pain. I have the indentation marks from my bra (32/34 F/G). I have rashes under my breasts. I have headaches due to my poor posture.

I've been on this website for about a year. I'm so ready to get this done. I would like for insurance to cover the cost because it's definitely a medical issue now. With my insurance, I have to go to my primary doctor first. I did that today and he sent over the referral to the plastic surgeon I would like to use. With me luck and I'll keep you guys posted.

Consultation with PS on the 17th!!!

knack
I just scheduled my consultation with the PS on the 17th. I’m excited and can’t wait! I do have a question - I have very dense breasts. Will I still be a good candidate for breast reduction?

Hello, do you know if your insurance will cover your BR and what do they need to approve it? Best of luck in your process and Hugs xxoxo

Hello, with my insurance, Aetna HMO, I had to get a referral from my primary care doctor first before even seeing a PS. I pretty much told him about my back/neck pain and headaches. Now I can go to the PS for a consultation, which is on the 17th. After my consultation, they will send information regarding my back/neck pain and headache to my insurance. I'm not exactly sure of the specific information that's needed to get it approved. I hope and pray it will be approved! Thanks and best of luck to you!

how did you consultation go ?

Hey! Thanks for asking. It went well. I was going for a consultation for just a BR. The PS was really good and showed me a visual of what my body could possibly look like with a BR and TT. It was an eye opener. I didn't think my body could ever look that way. They will submit information to my insurance and hopefully I can get approved for BR. The TT would be out of pocket. So many decisions! Lol! How was your consultation?

Had consultation today

knack
I had my consultation today. The PS answered all of my questions regarding BR. He also suggested a TT. That wasn’t on my agenda until he had me to look in the mirror and showed me visually what a difference a TT would make on my body! It was definitely an eye opener for me. I’m definitely considering a TT now, but just not sure how I would pay for it since it’s not covered by insurance. The next step is to hope and pray my BR will get approved by insurance (crossing fingers). I’ll keep you guys posted.
