Sharing my journey as reading others have been so helpful & comforting :)
I have been wanting BA for a few years now and finally making the plunge. My surgery is scheduled for 26/07/2019 and I have chosen Dr. Shaz Musavi Sydney, NSW.
I have always been okay with my natural breast but lately it has become quite difficult to fit comfortably in bras. As they are different cup sizes it is difficult to find a bra that fits well.
It has become impossible to wear dresses or once piece bathing suits without padding as the different cup sizes are so evident.
Back in 2017 I thought about having my surgery done in South Korea but didn't end up doing so. After obtaining a few quotes in May 19 I decided it would be better for me to have my surgery done locally as it seemed I'd get better care and the price was more affordable.
I did some googling read rewiews etc & contacted numerous places and decided on Australia Cosmetic Clinics in Sydney, NSW. I will be travelling interstate for a week and a half.
08/06/19 after contacting them via email, a lovely lady readily replied to me with some info packs and promotions they were having. She corresponded with me via email answering any questions I had (even during after work hours). Very helpful and reassured me as I was nervous about the whole thing.
If I had my consult in June, the deal they were offering was $6000AUD for BA and 1 area of lipo. $5500 BA without lipo. I was also interested in abdo lipo, so the deal was appealing to me. Usually their cost for BA is $7500AUD and $1400AUD for each area of lipo.
A phone consult was booked for 25/07/09. A holding fee of $75 was required. Which is refunded if you decide not to go ahead with surgery. I paid the fee via bank transfer and sent the receipt along with some personal photos for the surgeon to assess during our phone consult.
The weeks leading up to the phone consult, I wrote up some questions to ask the Dr and looked at many before and after reviews of BA.
25/07/09 phone consult was scheduled for 4pm. The surgeon called me at 4:20pm. He went through some screening questions (family heath history, medications etc) and briefly discussed with me the details BA and lipo, what he recommended would suit me and what kind of results I'll get.
All was okay but I did feel he was rushing through the conversation. There were a few questions I didn't get to ask him. Though when he ended the call he did say the clinic manger will be in touch with me sometime the next day to see if I want to proceed with the surgery and discuss anything further.
One of my main concerns was capsular contraction. I did bring this up and he told me that these days it isn't as common with the type of implants.
Without asking what look I wanted to achieve he told me he thinks high profile, smooth round would suit me. To get my cup size to a DD. I told him that I did not want to go very big. He stated DD sounds big it isn't. This did make me feel a little uneasy as I don't want overwhelmingly large breast.
For lipo he recommended I have upper, lower abdo and flanks done. He stated to achieve the Kim Kardashian hourglass shape (Yes please).
So after the phone call, I did look into BA where other ladies achieved DD results. A majority of the photos made them a little look to "fake"looking for me. After a week of looking through photographs, I felt I'd be happy with a full C or small D. I didn't want anything too large as I wouldn't be able to pull it off. I wear a lot of sweaters/jumpers so large breast would make me feel "fat" and I also have poor lower back strength.
Photos are of my current situation :(

How is our recovery going? Did your PS lower your crease on your smaller side? I'm asking because I was asymmetrical and my PS did that to me- I read a lot that it can cause bottoming out, which is my current state (I feel the start of bottoming out). You Reno's fresh out of surgery though that you still have time to settle. My symmetry is better but my nipples aren't aligned.

Hey, my nipples are definitely not aligned he said if I wanted them aligned I would need a lift. He didn't explain anything to me about the crease and bottoming out.
I didn't want to go big either just wanted more evenness.
From the photo I took today... they still aren't even close to the same size! Feeling quite unhappy. Doesn't help that recovery is so dreadful. I've had rhinoplasty before and it was a breeze. This recovery so far is definitely much more of a struggle for me.

Booking the surgery date & preparation

Note: I wrote half of this before surgery and then after surgery so this will be all over the place.
26/06/19 I accepted the quote they sent me a few days after the phone consult. There was a button to accept the quote via email. The next day, the clinic manager contacted me to arrange a face to face consultation & a surgery date.
I had to pay $1000AUD deposit to book my surgery date. They kept my $75 phone consult fee and deducted it from the postoperative bra which is $125.
The full amount was expected 4 weeks prior to surgery (minus $1000AUD to pay the anaesthetics team on the day).
As I have not had a face to face consult I was reluctant to pay the full amount of $12,050AUD but I kept getting calls and phone texts notifying me my invoice was due and that my surgery date would be cancelled if the full amount wasn’t received by the end of the day.
After transferring them the money, I received emails with admission forms to fill out, pre surgery instructions etc.
Approx 1.5 weeks before my scheduled surgery date a Surgiplas contacted me. The clinic had forwarded my details to them. They wanted my measurements so they could send me an invoice for a compression garment. Once payment is received they would post the garment to the day surgery. I was told that I’d need an M and the garment costs $182.01. I had a look at their online catalogue and wasn’t fond of the lacing on the garment so I chose not to purchase my garment with them. I purchased 2 garments from two different online stores.
1 store took over a week to receive, even though I paid $17 for express postage. Never replied to any of my emails. Called me 6 days after ordering it notifying me the colour I chose is out of stock. (Bodyment)
The other store was exceptional, free postage and it was sent the following day. It also arrived after 1 business day.
Their online customer service is also fabulous, they replied promptly to all my emails. (Exquisite Bodies)
With the brand I chose, my measurements put me in the between a S/M. Both companies suggested I purchase the S to ensure I get the compression I needed post surgery. I bought a S and then ordered a M after Surgiplas recommenced I wear a M. (Turns out M is too loose for me).
I have tried on the S, pictured in my previous photos and it fits well. I think the M might fit better when I’m really swollen (Turns our not to be). The nurse who put on my garment complimented on the material of the garment.
In preparation I have also purchased, antibacterial soap, dermatix (silicone gel for scar reduction), silicone tape (to promote scar healing and prevent keloid scarring), ice packs, heat packs, laxatives, anti nausea tablets, bio oil, palmers coco butter, 2 zip bras from Kmart, loose zip hoodie and track pants.
Is that all? I did not realise I had to buy so many things!
Oh I was thinking of buying those pregnancy pillows to help me sleep better, but I didn’t as I have plenty of pillows and cushions around the house I can use. I’ll be interstate for the surgery as well, so I’m not bringing that pillow with me on the plane haha.
For my day surgery bag I am packing
Cleansing wipes
Change of clothes & clean underwear
Socks
Eye drops
Lip balm
Hand cream
Water bottle
Old towels
Battery pack for my phone
I’ve been quite nervous leading up to the surgery date. Thinking what have I gotten myself into. But as it’s only a few more days away from my face to face consult and surgery day, I am 50/50 excited & nervous.
My fear is waking up to breast too big for my liking & also hearing stories of breast implant illness.
23/07/19 received an email from the anaesthetist doctor to fill out a anaesthetic pre op questionnaire.
Next update will be my face to face consult and the big surgery day! As I am posting this I am post op day 3!

Face to face consult

25/7/19
Arrived at the airport @1:20pm. I was scheduled to meet Dr Shaz Musavi @3pm.
Had a few shortcomings with the car rental. They took over an hour to pick us up with their shuttle bus. So I was running late.
I texted the clinic manager (Anke) to let her know and she changed my appointment time to 3:40pm.
There clinic has no parking but if you go a little further and turn left where the apartments are, there are plenty of parking spots.
Filled out some more forms, handed in my forms I printed out and filled out prior.
Saw Dr Shaz just after 4pm.
He showed me some photos of his work and as suggested on the phone he wanted to get me to a d/dd. (430cc R 380cc R). As he says I have broad shoulders and the size would fit my frame. He gave me the sizers which I popped into my soft sports bra. They didn’t look big and still looked natural to me. As he insisted on this size he didn’t give me other sizers to try on.
I did keep insisting I wanted something natural and not too big. Kind of felt he wasn’t really listening to me but I did trust his opinion haha.
He then did some measurements on me. Said 430cc R and 380cc L will be suitable for me. My breast are very asymmetric to me and I felt a difference of 50cc wouldn’t be enough to balance them. As I heard 50cc is only a shot glass? But this is what he recommended. He did state many times that he could not completely get them to be symmetric. I understand that breast are not twins but sisters or even cousins.
He also showed me some before and after photos of his lipo work. All looked good, give me that tiny wait please. I have read some reviews of his where some weren’t happy with the overall work, so I hope all goes well for me.
He said my skin is very ideal for lipo but even so he wouldn’t be taking out a lot of fat. It was more of sculpting the body shape and not taking out as much fat as he could.
In my mind I just wanted him to take all of the fat lol. I read online in one session of lipo, 5L removal is the maximum. I asked how many L would be removed for myself and he said only about 1L!
As again I felt he was in a rush and though I didn’t have many questions to ask, felt like he wasn’t really listening to what I wanted. But he was very calm and I felt comfortable around him. I just had to trust him.
Initially I was was scheduled for 10am surgery the following day but received a text that I have been moved to 8am.
I received a number of texts and emails regarding presurgery instructions.
