Very grateful for all the reviews on this website that helped me in my breast augmentation journey. I had my augmentation on 12/27/22 with Dr. Ferraro in Paramus, NJ and I have nothing but so many positive words to say about him, his staff, and my results! I started my journey about a month and a half before surgery.

My stats:
25 yrs old
5'3.5"
127 lbs
I wore a 32b in Victoria's Secret (all slightly push-up but I always had half an inch of space at the top of my bras. VS sizing is horrible) Prior to my surgery I went to a very legit lingerie store in nyc that sized me at 34b - underwire, no push-up. It was the most perfect bra ever lol). I plan to go back here to determine my new size when healed.

I went to two surgeons before deciding on Dr. Ferraro, the other being in the upper east side. Unlike the first surgeon, Dr. Ferraro really listened to what my goals were and what/where I got my inspiration from. During the first visit he measured me and I showed him some pictures to give him an idea of what I wanted. My goal was small C and I came in knowing I wanted somewhere between 220-265cc. I certainly wasn't flat but a lot of my fat sat at the bottom of my breast so I emphasized wanting upper poleness and cleavage.

32b Victoria’s Secret / Aerie. Always with some padding, like subtle push-ups.
But supposedly a 34b after having gotten fitted professionally before surgery at a high-end lingerie store (I suggest getting measured before at a legitimate place so you know what your size was and following up after you’ve healed)

Surgery day!

Surgery was 12/27/22 at New Century Medical Center in Paramus which was very new and modern. Felt comfortable from check-in all the way to the OR and out. I checked in at 12 for an expected 2 PM procedure time. I believe we started early but I wasn’t really checking the time. After check-in I changed into the gown, hairnet, and socks. Underwear stayed on and was given my allergy bracelet and patient wristband. From the locker room I went to another area of the building where you wait in a comfy chair and get the IV placed. Met with Dr. Ferraro to go over last minute details/markings and met the anesthesiologist. When we were ready to go I say goodbye to my boyfriend and the tech walked me to the OR room. As soon I laid down I was given I think a mask and knocked out super fast. When I was put to sleep I had a laryngeal mask airway which a type of way to help deliver air to the lungs (I think easier on the throat than full intubation). Before I knew it I was in the recovery room woken up by the nurse. It was 330 I think when I woke up, I was super sleepy and wanted to go back to sleep lol. Threw up twice but only a little bit like bile but I had a bag ready from the nurse. I was given another bag for the car which I definitely needed then I felt completely fine. I met with Dr.F again and I was ready to go him probs 20 ish minutes after I woke up!

To keep it short, the first 24 hours my pain was concentrated only in the center of my back because of the ace wrap placed over the bra (needed for support) and not being able to straighten my shoulders. But I always had a little bit of a bad back from awful posture lol. I didn’t have any chest pain whatsoever other than tightness and some achiness (I was expecting my period in 3 days). You can’t sleep laying down so I slept completely upright as that was the most comfortable and I took pain-killers every 4 hours for my back which helped. The sleep wasn’t the best but what can you expect when you just had surgery!

As for mobility, I had my boyfriend help me go to the bathroom, brush my hair, and open doors for me to avoid overstretching for the first 48 hours.
