I've Decided to Do It! Beginning of my Small Breast Augmentation Journey

I've decided to finally do what I've been dreaming about for more than a decade. I've decided to become the woman I feel like inside.
I've known that I wanted a breast augmentation since I first tried on the bra that my sister wore in high school and it didn't fit me. I tried it at 15—didn't fit. 18—didn't fit. Finally, at 21, I threw it out and tried for another seven long years to accept my body as it was. I tried so flipping hard.
When I couldn't bring myself to *love* my barely-there boobies, I tried to go with the body neutrality route. But I kept thinking... this does not feel like my body.
Every time I take my top off, my heart sinks just a tiny bit. Sometimes I'm genuinely still surprised when I look in the mirror. I think, "Wait, where are my boobs?!"
I will be pursuing a small, natural breast augmentation to achieve a look that feels like me. Ideally, I don't want anyone to even notice, including my family. I rarely show my cleavage EVER anyway and the amount I want, I think, will be small enough that they may think, "Oh, those are a bit larger than I remembered them," but that's it.
So far, I've seen Dr. Gelfant and I really enjoyed that consultation. I could see him quickly and he genuinely made me feel so at ease right off the bat. He mentioned how he regularly teaches the latest methods across the country to other plastic surgeons. A few other points to note:
- He prefers incisions in the armpit. He says this not only supports better healing, but you can incur less pain.
- The price came out to about $12,000. This was higher than expected, but based off my research so far, he seems like THE top surgeon in Vancouver (at least top three), so I am prepared to pay for that quality.
- He doesn't believe in 3D imaging or photo galleries. I came all ready with my Pinterest inspiration board and he said, look, the thing is, most women will come in and want exactly what they see on these images. But, it's impossible to promise that your breasts will look exactly like the ones you pin. The "breast wall" can be bigger or smaller, you may be taller or shorter, heavier or thinner... there are so many variables that can make this inspiration board less helpful than people think.
-He suggested 275 - 300 CC. I think I am leaning towards 250 CC right now. I'm doing the "rice test" which is hilarious. You add the amount of rice that you want for "boobs" into pantyhose and then put it in your bra. So far... I really like 3/4 cup.

Just so EXCITED

I just can’t wait to have breasts that feel more like they fit my body, as I want them to look. I got a NuBra and when I put them on, that’s what I want to feel like with no bra on. Just enough of a boost.
Sigh… I just can’t wait.

Updates? Did you end up getting the surgery done or did things go wrong?
