Very Bad Results with Ear Surgery

I went to Dr. GauIt's office and asked his advice about me having an earlobe reduction in both ears and also correct a very slight unevenness of the helix on my right ear. During the brief consultation, Dr. Gault took some notes and photos and asked me what I wanted. After the surgery which he did while I was completely awake and terrified, I had a long process of recuperation and I could see that my ear wasn't healing well, I went back to his surgery when he removed the stitches and mentioned this to him, but he didn't seem very concern so I thought that it will heal with time.

Unfortunately, the results were very bad, in my opinion Dr Gault ruined my right ear and I now have very visible scars and also what is called a 'cauliflower ear' caused by the surgery. I kept on waiting for the swollen ear to go back to normal but it never did. Now I realised that there wasn't much originally wrong with my right ear and perhaps I should have been discouraged at the time. The lobes's surgery was acceptable, but not totally happy, also with a visible scar in the middle of both lobes. 

As a result and having spent all my savings to pay for this surgery, my right ear looks much worse than it did before the surgery, making my insecurities about it even worse, I was extremely upset and unable to talk about it for a very long time. The whole process was very traumatising, the after care almost non existent and with bad results. The moral if this story is: do think twice before taking the step to have surgery and I hope my experience helps someone to make the right decision.
