Extremely Disappointing Otoplasty Experience

My experience with Mr Walid Sabbagh for an otoplasty has been extremely disappointing. The surgery left me with visible scarring and a clearly deformed ear; the upper part now sits unnaturally close to my head, losing its normal shape. The result is so poor that I keep my ear covered, and several people who have seen it have asked if I was injured. Mr Sabbagh acknowledged how bad the outcome was and said he should not have operated, despite initially telling me I had “nothing to lose” and later stating he had not predicted the complications I experienced.

The overall care felt disorganised and inappropriate. There was no clear plan, explanations were limited, and my concerns were regularly overlooked. Appointments felt unproductive, his advice often changed, and some comments and behaviour made me uncomfortable.

Rather than addressing the result, Mr Sabbagh advised me to seek other surgeons. I left feeling profoundly let down, especially as I believe better planning — and genuinely listening to my concerns — could have prevented much of what happened. I have included before-and-after photos to show the extent of the damage.
