About 6 weeks after the surgery, swelling did not subside in the tear trough cavity - and still after 6 months, and 12 months the result was the same - ie the tear through in my eyes looks FAR worse than before - people continuously ask me if i am tired. Moreover, Dr Sackelariou removed fat from the outer edges of my eyes and left me with a very hollow (skeletal) look - I have posted photos under my profile which unmistakably show the surgery was botched. I never asked the doctor to remove fat from the outer edges, moreover of one of my eyes also has some slight ectropion (ie pull down). I had mentioned to the doctor during the 3rd month and 6th month consultations that the result is worse than before which the pictures show - he dismissed this as swelling which he said would subside - it never has and he never fixed or reimbursed me. He seemed very dismissive of my concerns that the result was clearly worse even after a year. I used to have mild barely noticeable bags under my eyes as per my first pic in my profile in the white shirt (see my profile) and now they are unmistakably festoons which has advanced me many more years. He removed fat from the outer edges leaving a hollow look and then somehow he managed make the tear through even puffier which I had highlighted to the doctor was my primary concern during the first consultation. I am not sure how he made it puffier - suspect it was an attempt to graft fat into the tear through cavity that was botched. The doctor never explained how this may have happened although after years it appears permanent.
