Hi doctors I received under one syringe of filler for my under eyes and cheeks in March 2017 with Restylane I was a tad over filled in one eye. Had it dissolved in July and then received more Restylane in cheeks November 2018. Ive always had very small malar bags. Now they look like full blown festoons? Is this fillers? Will this go away? What can I do? This has impacted my life greatly. Im lost, depressed and have no clue what to do next. Please give your advice. Im 31
I really would appreciate an answer on this, as it's been 2 years. Xmas 2016 I had Restylane injected in tear trough. I had a reaction to this where my eyes were excessively swollen. I had this removed with hylorondase. They tried a very small amount of threads, which did not work. For 2 years I have been left with 2 small mounds on the top of the cheek to the eye, and can only put this down to festoons? I have had plasma felc hence the brown marks currently. It's like persistent swelling (festoons)
It has gone down from a big swelling and a bruise to a smaller one but it is still puffy. I have read the reviews for similar problems and the average healing time is 2 weeks. I contacted my provider and she told me that it can take up to 4 weeks. I am going on a third week on Monday and I am still puffy which makes my face look unbalanced. I only bruised on one side. The left side came out perfect!
I had .5cc under each eye of Resty., maintained for 3 years. 1 or 2 sessions a year. Primarily mid to lateral cheek area, not tear-trough. Placed right along the top of, and on the rim, giving higher cheeks. Under 1 eye, I had minor persistent swelling. Also had upper eyelids done on 3rd year. On same eye I got an eyelid infection. After it resolved, the swelling was much worse, chronically. It is like a festoon, & eyelid bag, but is all fluid, no fat. Despite years since last treatment. Help?
I was administered restylane for my festoons but I now have an swollen part above my festoon. My docs response..... The junction where the muscle excess and the cheek begins (festoon) is a tough area to inject. Most of my older patients have no issues. My colleagues have dealt with this issue as well...young patient with a dynamic festoon...meaning that your muscle that is in excess is preventing the product from staying where it is injected. Is the response correct? BTW I am in late 40s.
