I had the Erbium Yag Laser two years (2/2020) ago and PIH developed under / around my eyes, on my forehead and on my jawline one week after I was lasered. Exactly where it is today. I have used Triluma, hydroquinone, steroids and retionds. I have had two Halos, two micropeel lasers, four PicoSure treatments and two Perfect Peels. Nothing fully gets rid of it or it comes back. I most recently tried two Enlighten peels starting in December 2021 with strict 4% hydroquinone, steroid and retinol use for three months. The pictures are from today while I'm still following this regimen. I still have pigment. I finally saw my dermatologist after the plastic surgeon couldn't fix it and he thinks it's melasma that just happened to start at the exact same time as when I had the Erbium Yag two years ago and started me on oral Tranexamic Acid six weeks ago. I just want it to go away. What will make this fully go away? Is this permanent? What else can I do?
Ive had the Nd:YAG treatment for dark spots before, and the pigment seemed like it was removed through the skins surface as a scab. However, I recently got the procedure done again and the dark spot became slightly darker after treatment and there was the faintest hint of crusting, but it never scabbed (I believe my derm used very conservative settings). Could the pigment still be in the process of being cleared even if not through the skins surface (perhaps by the immune system instead)?
I am using the nu derm system at the moment and have a Obagi TCa booked for June and wanted to know if I could have the yag laser treatment ? How long I have to wait after a TCA peel before having the laser treatment , I am south Asian and have brown skin
I have been getting laser hair removal for about 3 months now. I'm super hairy, I think maybe due to my ethnic background. I decided to get laser hair removal. I have been noticing that my pores are big on my stomach and I have a couple of dark spots. For any dermatalogists, I was wondering what is the best way to reduce whatever it is I have. Thank you.
Hello, I need your help please. I am 30 years old, 6 months ago I had a venule removed from my lower left eyelid with a Yag laser (the power was 140). The aesthetic doctor insisted several times. Following this procedure I developed numerous telangiectasias, my skin is more wrinkled, very sensitive and I still have malar edema (the overall swelling lasted 15 days!). Do you think that the YAG laser can cause volume loss if there is an overdose? Is my malar edema permanent ? What should I do ?
I had nd yap ipl for sunspots I took a lot of precautions for the sun. I had sun block every 2 hours. after one week I went to the mountain, there was snow I was wearing sunblock as well every. 2 hours and clothing and hat. That day I felt like my skin was sunburned, and 2 days after I noticed a area that was red and was turning darker with the days. Like a new sunspot. Will this be damage for life? Can another IPl treatment help? Also will this give me a higher Risk of cancer? I am concerned.
I am 30 hrs post procedure of: 2 passes w/ Fraxel & then full face Erbium Ablative resurfacing. followed by microblading and PRP. My only concern is the amount of swelling in my left lower eye lid. Im drinking water, use ice packs, eat low salt, and sleep in recliner. The puffiness is tender&feels like a water balloon. Its under both eyes, but the left is worse. Im wondering when swelling will subside & if there are other tips for the swelling before I call dr. Also whats the yellow oozing?
Twenty four hours ago, I had Ng:Yag laser treatment only on the brown spots on my face (all over) and my skin looks HORRIBLE. I look like I have the measles, but the good news is that I'm not in pain or swollen. Am I going to be scarred? What can I do to make sure I don't scar? She only gave me a topical cream to apply twice a day. She is an MD and has been working with lasers for a long time - although she did burn my friend.
I undertook tattoo removal session on my hand with ND:YAG laser but specialist didn't give me the protective goggles and I was observing the procedure around 10min (I saw red laser beam on my hand) until she told me to close my eyes. Do you think it will have any long term damage to my eyes? I am afraid now.
