I’ve had the Nd:YAG treatment for dark spots before, and the pigment seemed like it was removed through the skin’s surface as a scab. However, I recently got the procedure done again and the dark spot became slightly darker after treatment and there was the faintest hint of crusting, but it never scabbed (I believe my derm used very conservative settings). Could the pigment still be in the process of being cleared even if not through the skin’s surface (perhaps by the immune system instead)?

Facial veins are common and at our practice we have two modalities to treat facial veins. Facial veins can be treated with facial sclerotherapy or with lasers (Nd:Yag 1064), the treatment depends on the location and the size of the vein.
It is recommended to wait at least 4 weeks after a chemical peel before receiving any type of laser treatment. This allows the skin to fully heal from the first procedure as to not compromise the health of your skin or risk hyperpigmentation.
