I had a full tummy tuck 12 days ago and I'm wondering what activities to avoid and how long ... As well I cannot stand straight yet is this normal? How do I know if I'm using my an muscles too much or too soon and if one does pull a mucsle or stitch out of a muscle how would one know???how long should I wear the garment and why did my nurse say the tighter the garment the better. ?? It seems to hurt more when I waer it tight. Thanks!!
I had an abdominoplasty and umbilical hernia repair 2 1/2 weeks ago (to repair the recti diastisis and umbilical hernia after having my twins four years ago), and I am getting really concerned that after a little more than two weeks, I still can't stand up straight. The tightness is still so intense, that I am still flexed at the hips slightly. My background is in fitness and dance, and I expected to bounce back more quickly because of my fitness level, however this has been much tougher than I expected. Is it normal at this point to still not be able to stand up fully straight, and feel such intense tightness at the incision site?
I know that is seroma is waterbed-like but my question is does it matter if you are laying down or standing up to check? When I'm standing, it seems pretty firm with no water bed effects but when I'm laying down, there is the waterbed effect. When I went for a two-week check-up, the nurse told me I needed to be standing to tell. Is this accurate or should I be concerned?
It's day 9 post-op, both JPs are out, but I have to go back to the clinic twice a week to have my stomach aspirate. When does fluid stop accumulating in my stomach? I still feel the tightness and not able to stand completely upright.
Hi there, Im hitting Day 14 of a full tuck. Is it normal to have an inner heat feeling? Also cant stand up straight or take a full breath because everything feels so tight!! I am walking around hunched over a bit. My doctor doesnt want me wearing the garment because they felt it was restricting blood flow...any recommendations on what I should be wearing around that area
I'm hearing minimize sitting so since I work in retail and stand my whole shift should I return back to work in 2-3 weeks after my suregery because if I'm home I would prob be sitting the whole time
