I just want to know whats the best position for sleep with out making it worse and helping it get reabsorbed by the body I do leave my compression on 24/7 off only for showers? Is flat better is semi Fowlers, side, fetal position.
It's almost 5 weeks since my Tummy Tuck. 2 weeks ago, fluid started leaking from my incision (a red watery fluid), which my plastic surgeon told me it was seroma and that it needs to come out, it's not harmful, and that I just need to wear my binder tighter. Another 2 weeks have passed and the fluid is still coming out more than before. Now I have a small hole (smaller than a dime) under my belly button and yesterday, a clot came out. Is it normal? Or is there anything that must be done? Please advise. I will say besides this hole, the entire incision is healed.
How many times do you think Ill need to get my seroma drained? Im 4 weeks post TT and my first time with needle drain, they extracted 150 cc. It is now building back up again. I cannot take it easy anymore than I already have, as I have 2 small kids at home. I wear compression 24/7 except in the shower.
My stomach is not firm like people say it should be. I can push down on it and jiggle with my hand a bit. Is this because it is not attached to the muscle wall yet ? Drains were removed at 7 DPO and wasnt draining very much at that point. Some people are suggesting that I have a seroma but I do not have fever, lump /ball, bruising or pain. I am wearing the binder dr gave 24/7
My drains were removed at 1 week post Tummy Tuck and Flank/Back liposuction. Each drain was drawing about 23-26 cc of fluid daily at that time. At 3 week, 4 days post op, I cannot tell if I have a seroma, or swelling. When foam inserts are placed in the garment to reduce indentation (from zipper and seams) there is a buildup of 'swell' in areas surrounding the foam. The foam itself leaves a significant indentation.
Persistent pain and sensory abnormalities after abdominoplasty. I am very upset that I ever got this surgery, because a year after this life changing surgery, I have discomfort and tightness in the area. When my twins squeeze my belly area, the skin actually hurts. It's painful. Let's say a button, or belt buckle rubs on it, it hurts. I have this hard ball near the incision area. Can a pseudobursa be causing this. Surgeon ignored the possibility of a seroma. I'm so unhappy because of the pain. Please help. My surgeon is sloppy. Don't direct me to him.
Hi. Do surgeons generally charge their patients to drain a seroma/blood collection after a tummy tuck during a post op appointment? 1200.00 to boot without letting me know there was any charge for this at all? Is this not typically included with the cost of the surgery?
