Hi. I never really thought of this. Im ok if my TT scar will have keloid because it can be hidden but how about my belly button? And if it becomes keloid, aside from laser, how can it be reduced? Im a keloid former.
I am 52 years old. 56, 163lbs. I am in good health. I had a botched liposuction over 12 years ago. I went in for lipo to correct the lumps and unevenness of the belly. The upper part of my abdomen was big and the lower part was flat and lumpy. The first surgeon said I needed a tummy tuck to repair the abdominal wall. I am 6 months post op and there is no difference with my stomach except for scar tissues and keloids. what do I do? I am devastated.
I have keloid scars on belly button 5 months post TT I have been told kenalog injections will help the scars appearance to get better is that true ? How long does it take to show improvement and what are the side effects ? If nothing is done will the keloids get worse ?
I developed several small keloids alond my scar, with the largest at 1 of the drain sites. 18 months after my tummy tuck sugery my PS injected them with steriods. Weeks later they flattened out then later develped into deep indentations. What is the best way to correct this? The issue seems to be that the steriods melted away all the fat under the scar so I am not sure scar revision will be an appropriate approach.
I had TT a year ago after loss weight 100 pouds. I change lifestyle and workout 4 Times week to achieve my goals. I had TT year ago to remove lose skin. Which so far I have love the results and has change everything completely. My question is what else could do to imporve lose skin have on sides. I workout 4 times week, lift weights and used diffrent creams to help but still have bit lose skin. I also seen that maybe have keloids on scar TT and belly button. I used scar treatments and tape.
I am 6 months post op from FDL. Part of my scar is healing beautifully, but the rest has keloid tissue. I am wondering if I should ask the surgeon for a revision, or if this is to be expected and I should wait longer for it to heal.
3 1/2 mos post op ETT & abd is still swollen &hurts. CT scan done stated: some irregularity in the rectus muscles of my abd & some extra fluid in the lower abdomen & around the incision. It is thought this is all related to your surgery however these shouldn't be present 3 months out. There was no evidence of overt infection or abscess. My PS w/o seeing me dx a seroma. What does irregularity in the rectus muscle mean? Over incision is hard on both sides, like bone. Looks like keloids & dog ears
