Just had my 1 year pot op tummy tuck fu a few weeks ago. I expressed my concerns and was told it's nothing to be concerned about to come back in 1 year. I feel fluid or air or gas under my skin in the lower abdomen, and around my belly button feels a little squishy at times. I noticed this back in June. If I pressed on it, it literally made a crackle noise and still does. It does come and go, and sometimes I can massage it away. What is this? Should I be concerned? Will it ever go away?
I had a tummy tuck 3 weeks ago and my bellybutton started leaking right after the stitches were removed at 1 week, my incision right below my belly button starting leaking dark red and sometimes yellow fluid at exactly 2 weeks post op, causing it to open at the center. I went to see my doctor, he gave prescribed clyndamicina and another antibiotic for 10 days. Its been 1 week after I started the 2 antibiotics, I see little or no improvements. Lab work came body not responding to antibiotics
My drains were removed at 1 week post Tummy Tuck and Flank/Back liposuction. Each drain was drawing about 23-26 cc of fluid daily at that time. At 3 week, 4 days post op, I cannot tell if I have a seroma, or swelling. When foam inserts are placed in the garment to reduce indentation (from zipper and seams) there is a buildup of 'swell' in areas surrounding the foam. The foam itself leaves a significant indentation.
3 days post we found out I had Necrosis which my surgeon removed with a minor surgery. Post that I developed seroma right next to the Necrosis site. Surgeon made an incision and left it open, it leaks fluid and I use a pad to absorb it. Every 3 days my surgeon drains it, cleanes it and leaves it open. Later I also developed Hematoma on my right side of flanks. The doctor made a cut and drained out the blood twice so far and left it open. Am I heading the right direction?
I got a TT over 10 years ago. My question is I feel and can see there is still fluid, like edema. My doctor that did my procedure would put a needle in there and suck out the blood and fluid. He has since retired. What are my options? I am in great shape but this is annoying. Any suggestions you can offer me
I am having tummy tuck surgery next week and I keep hearing there can be quite a lot of swelling, which of course I expect. I take aldactone 100mg a day for hormonal acne - my doctor says it is fine to continue through surgery. Wondering if it will help me retain less fluid in the days and weeks post surgery? TIA.
Five weeks ago today I got a Fleur de Lis surgery done. It removed almost 9lbs of excess skin. I had two drains in after surgery, one was removed after two weeks and then other three. However, since the second drain was removed two weeks ago, a lot of fluid has built up in my lower abdomen.Tomorrow, I will be going in to have excess fluid drained with a needle. This time, the area protrudes out more then before. My surgeon doesn't seemed too concerned but I am. Do I need another drain put in?
I had a tummy tuck with liposuction to various areas 2 weeks 1 day ago. I have recently noticed the bottom of my tummy is like a waterbed. You hit one side and the liquid waves across like a waterbed. I have seen a surgeon who poked it then had me in a half sit up position poke it again and say its fine no seroma just fluid. I'm so confused I thought a seroma was fluid? Will this go away on its own? I would just like to add i am very happy with the results of my tummy tuck! Thank you.
