Its almost been 3 weeks since my tummy tuck surgery. My scar looks fine and has healed properly, but my belly button does not look ok, and it keeps being a bit watery ever other day and part of the belly has black dry skin. The problem is Im away for work now and my surgeon is not here, so I just want to know if this looks like something serious that needs medical intervention or not.
My surgeon says to just clean with saline and apply bacitracin for now. I have heard that silvadene is good for necrotic skin. I want to know do I keep the wound moist or do I let it dry out? And is it safe to apply silvadene while its still closed or wait until it opens? Or are there any other suggestions as to care for it? (Non smoker, non diabetic, had six 1 hour sessions in hyperbaric chamber)
I am very happy with the results of my TT and lipo. Recently about a month ago I noticed a dry area forming on the top left of my belly button and it has continued to rise up lengthening. The skin feels different than the other skin and is rough and darker. What could this be and is it going to go away eventually? Thanks!
I had a tummy tuck yesterday and with all the harsh soap and the binder the skin above the incisions are dry and itchy... I was wondering if I can use Vitamin E on theses areas safely. I don't see my PS till Thursday. Thank you
