I recently did a TCA chemical peel to help with hyperpigmentation after an acne scab. The spot peeled and healed beautifully, however there is still the spot. It isnt dark like it was but it was noticeable. I dont know if I should continue to use chemical peels on it or not. I have used 4% Hydroquinone, tri-Luma cream, bio oil, nano needling and infrared.. I dont know what else I should do. I am an esthetician and have access to professional products
Feels like Ive read conflicting information about this. What is the ideal way to go? Wouldnt people be prone to further scarring from scabbing if they have thin/scar prone skin? Ive been keeping my wounds wet with vaseline and aloe vera this time around, but Ive let them scab naturally the past 3 times I did cross. When I ask about aftercare, my doctor just says nothing.
I put 30% TCA on my scars on Saturday night... I read to dip a toothpick into the TCA and apply pressure into the scar and hold for a few seconds. My scars all appear rounded like the impression of a toothpick mark now. They dont seem to look any better at all and its been 3 days. they are wider and deeper and slightly scabbed over and the scabs that have come off are BRIGHT red... Any suggestions on what I can do? Or if this is normal? Or how bad did I damage my skin? Thanks
I mostly saw and read reviews that other people's scabs fell off within a week. I haven't done any TCA peel and/or cross. It's my first TCA treatment. I know everyone has different recovery. Is mine looking normal? Is 10 days and still the scabs haven't fall off, just okay?
On 1st march very deep TCA done. Scab came out on 30 march from 1st April till date (3 months) still no improvement, see pink (final layer/tissue not coming), can see between, branch like hard hypertrophic scaring. afraid from laser please suggest best topical only if not possible then only suggest which laser name, session. i don't have infection in scar few acne came but treated using doxycycline oral. some time patient are not aware about if laser machine used is right or not so better avoid.
I had a TCA Cross 30% done last June 24, 2016 (Friday) then after about 3 days, scabs have formed. I have accidentally scratched off one or two of the scabs then it left a depressed mark! I panicked so I contact my dermatologist then he said that proceeding with a full-face TCA Peel 30% so that my skin will be evened out. The rest of my face frosted except for the areas that were already treated with TCA Cross, those with scabs. Please tell me what's most likely to happen to my face!
Had TCA cross done at the doctors office about a week ago, the scabs fell of two days ago and the holes look deeper and wider. She used a needle to administer. Will these fill in? I also have pinkish skin around the scars. These were ice pick scars. Ive just been washing with cetaphil, putting on polysporin and spf 30 when I go out, I avoid sun completely. I guess I'm just worried I've made it worse, holes look deeper than before TCA.
I developed a mild case of shingles on my face. Mostly scabbing now very small marks, never got big blisters, I am on viral meds, soaking in water/white vinegar, cleansing with Cetaphil Bacterial Soap and Moisturizing with Cerave. Is there anything else I can do so prevent scarring on my new beautiful skin.
