I had a TCA cross peel performed 2 months ago on my ice pick and box acne scars, the scars did raise significantly, but I'm left with hyperpigmentation particularly visible in the larger box scars. 1. What would you recommend as a treatment for this type of hyperpigmentation? Are there any topicals likely to be effective? E.g. AHA peels. 2. Would you recommend more TCA cross peels to further improve the scars or are there other modalities that are likely more effective, e.g. fraxel laser.
I used a very expensive skin lightening cream that only worked on the less course skin. I would like to try a chemical peel on my own Ive been researching and watching videos of professionals. I noticed that chemical peels for hyperpigmentation is usually done on the face. My case is really rare and Im currently not financially stable to go to a dermatologist.
I had an esthetician recommend a peel for my back from acne scars. She did a Jessner peel followed by a 30% Tca peel. Within seconds I told her to take it off my skin because I could not withstand the burn any longer. She also said 30% was no strong for my body. The next day I knew something wasnt right because the rawness and discomfort did not seem normal. Cut forward to a month later and Im dealing with severe pih. What can I do to treat this? Will it go away?
I recently did a TCA chemical peel to help with hyperpigmentation after an acne scab. The spot peeled and healed beautifully, however there is still the spot. It isnt dark like it was but it was noticeable. I dont know if I should continue to use chemical peels on it or not. I have used 4% Hydroquinone, tri-Luma cream, bio oil, nano needling and infrared.. I dont know what else I should do. I am an esthetician and have access to professional products
I got a TCA peel two weeks ago in the hopes that it would help fade my PIH that I had been struggling to fade for about two months with hydroquinone 2% (which worked before) to no avail. The doctor diluted a 50% solution, though I don't really know what percentage it got reduced to. Suffice to say, it didn't work and it even made me purge. I heard clay masks can help with acne, so I was wondering if it's safe for me to use after the peel. Tips for my PIH would also be appreciated. Thanks!
I applied 25% tca on my face to get rid of dark spots and hyperpigmentation from acne . Its been 5 days now my face is dark browned from the acid and feels like rubber is on my face . What will happen if this does not peel at all
I did TCA at 90% at home on an old scar and got burned. First Itime went brown then a month later it peeled off leaving the skin with no pigment and a dark circle around. Unfortunately I went in the sun accidentally and the skin now looks dark. I had lasers and all sorts of cream for hyperpigmentation but nothing has worked. Someone told me a Phenol peel 88% could fix it? How do I fix it?
Hi. I would like to get rid of some visible blood vessels and fine lines (pigmentation) that I seem to get even if I mostly keep out of the sun. I am 19 years of age, with very light skin, and I've had laser done to remove these dark lines before. Sadly though, they keep coming back, and I was thinking of getting a TCA Peel. Would it be more effective? If so, what TCA % would you recommend for fair-skinned individuals. I am confident in your knowledge in this area as well as the suggestions I'd get. Thank u very much.Graeme
