No peeling 5 days after TCA 25%, face is dark brown and feels like rubber, advice? (photos)

I applied 25% tca on my face to get rid of dark spots and hyperpigmentation from acne . It’s been 5 days now my face is dark browned from the acid and feels like rubber is on my face . What will happen if this does not peel at all

I don't recommend applying TCA peels yourself due to the risk of hyperpigmentation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care. Hyperpigmentation can be improved with a combination of lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels, and skin care. Sun protection is essential. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hard to comment as we did not perform the peel. Was the application even? What was the pressure? Any drip? Was the acetone scrub beforehand or pre peel tretinoin peel? How many coats? Your Specialist who performed the peel with have their notes on the procedure. Hard to comment. For the sake of safety, ensure barrier function, protect from infection, and avoid the sun- hats SPF etc. Even single coat at this concentration with your skin type can lead to skin colour changes that may last for months.
