What is your opinion on what I could do since my skin is responding poorly to allergy treatments? Shall I just keep the tattoo that is causing the allergy? I so fear the risk of it getting reinfected every time it hardens. In just over a month, the allergic keloid-tattoo has been infected twice as it becomes too crusty and cracks on its own without me scratching it or anything like that. What do I do now since it cannot be safely lasered nor surgically removed? Please help me. Thank you.
Hello - I am looking to get tattoo removal on a 4x4 inch tattoo on my forearm. The clinic asked whether I am prone to keloids. Are the scars in the attached image keloids or hypertrophic scars? They are 15 years old and were previously treated with micro needling and fraxel (which had little affect). Thank you!
I recently did my 4th session of my tattoo removal. But from then I had itching which is normal but I got swollen scar on that. I got very nervous and searched over Internet. It says that scar could be hypertrophic or keloid. I have added photo, please help me what type of scar is this. Your small help can help me emotionally. Please please please
Hi, would like to know if it is normal for tattoo to be raised and bumpy after tattoo removal. There is no pain or redness whatsoever. Only the lasered area is raised, the skin around it is perfectly fine. I apply a very light layer of moisturiser to allow the skin to breathe and I have been taking antihistamines for the past 2 days. Is this just an inflammation due to immune response? I'm worried they might be keloids. I'm 75% covered in tattoos and have not suffered from keloid scars before
I have a tattoo behind my ear that has had 1 session of laser removal and 3 sessions of tatt2-away (teprsol) done. The 3rd session of tatt2-away was done more deeply causing 2 small keloids. I visited a dermatologist PA who told me there is nothing I can do to finish removal of this tattoo as it will cause more keloids. Is she correct? Is there anything else I can do?
I get keloid scaring on my shoulders, and chest. All have been from acne. I got a tattoo on my forearm (even though my local dermatologist said I shouldn't as it could keloid.) Luckily it didn't. But now several years later I'm wanting to get it removed. Will laser tattoo removal, cause keloid scaring? I know laser tattoo removal causes you to blister, and I don't want those to turn into Keloids. Am I out of luck with removing the tattoo or is it unlikely to scar?
I've seen pictures of people's laser treatments turning into keloids. I have never had one and I don't scar that easily. Just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about on my first session.
I had 4 session of laser tattoo removal and on my last session the tattoo is looking swollen, red and very sore. The last session was done 9 weeks ago and it still very sensitive by touch and red. Is there scaring or forming a keloid please? Thanks
I've received 35 tattoo removal laser treatments and have significant keloid scarring. I've just started laser scar removal treatments. First in April, 2nd in July. The pics are this week (Aug. 25th). At the most recent treatment, the doc injected some steroid into the scarring. Am I going about this in the right way? What other options do I have? Anything cosmetic possible? How effective is the laser I'm using for the scarring? Any other advise thanks
