Hello, Firstly I want to say any information regarding a prognoses and treatment will be really appreciated. This issue started 2 years ago and I currently have an ENT referral in place. In 2019 I got my septum pierced whilst on accutane. This was removed in 2020 and the lump began forming in 2022. Its a hard flesh coloured hard lump which caused no pain until recently. The lump is now stretching my septum causing bad appearance and pain. Please help or advise if I can fix this. Thank you.
I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction. Since surgery, I have persistent blockage in one of my nostrils. It looks like a lump from the septum. Other nostril is clear. I have been back to my own surgeon and he has confirmed that there is no more swelling in the nose and the septum looks straight. So, what is this bump then, that is blocking my nose 24/7 Should I be seeking a second opinion or is this normal?
I had a septoplasty and tip work done about 14 months ago. Everything looked great until November, when a small pea size lump was felt and seen (a bit) in the tip of nose. I had many steroid injections, to no avail. Last week, my surgeon made a small incision inside the nostril to cut out scar tissue. Everything was smooth until a week later. I can now feel and see (a little) the lump. He ordered a MRI which found nothing in the cartilage department. Thoughts?
I am 3 weeks post-op, and I have developed very pronounced swelling on the interior of my nostrils near the tip. It is pretty tender, but so is the tip of my nose. The lump itself is quite hard. In the past Piercings have formed keloids, so I asked my surgeon if this is a possibility. He said that keloids dont form on mucus membranes and to just keep using aquaphor to keep the the skin moist. I spent so much money to improve air flow and I am concerned that the lump is reducing it again.
I recently had surgery 5 days ago. On the fourth day I started to become dizzy. Well more of a light headed kind of feeling. I am not sure if I attribute this to the dried up blood in my nose. I also realized I have a small lump feeling when I swallow. I am getting my splints removed in two days. Would that fix my problem? Or is the problem associated with my inner ear? I have been using saline for my post op care. Thanks,
I am 1 month post-op i had a Septo-Rhinoplasty. I had a deviated septum and a huge lump that could be see from proifleYesterday, I was taking a picture of me nose and a realized that it look crooked. Is it just me or is it really crooked? And is that normal? Will get it straighten with time?
I have what feels like a continuous lump running along both sides of my septum, near the bridge of my nose but nowehere near the incision. On the opposite side, the new obstruction is now worse than my original deviation. It feels like something was pushed up after Septoplasty and hasn't come down again. My nose was very tightly packed after surgery. I still get tingling, an itchy tip, and my nose aches sometimes so I can't wear glasses. I'm hoping all this just means it's healing nicely.
