When I was a teen I was in an accident which did damage to my nose, within a year of the accident I had reconstructive surgery on my nose. This decade I've noticed some changes to my nose. The width at the top of my nose looks swollen all of the time, and the bridge looks sunk in. I would like to know if filling in the hollows under my eyes will help cover this? In a perfect life, I would prefer to see a stronger thinner bridge. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Three weeks ago I had a closed rhinoplasty at UCLA Medical Clinic. I reiterated to my doctors that I am prone to hypertrophic scarring and that I was terrified to have incision scars on my outside face. They informed me they could complete the surgery withour visible ones. I awoke and was informed the chisel slipped and tore through my tearduct. The area has healed poorly. I've attached photos. It's hard to get a good photo of the area because I naturally have sunken eyes. I'm devastated.
Is it possible to develop more pronounced tear troughs/sunken eye appearance/loss of facial fat following revision rhinoplasty (in my case the second revision attempt i.e 3rd surgery)? I have noticed a marked difference that I do not think is attributable to aging (26 at age of surgery, problem developed and his persisted since then), particularly because ALL of the men and women in my family age very well. What is the best way to address this issue (I'm now 27)? Thanks in advance for your time!
During my primary surgery the doctor removed too much of a dorsal hump. There is some pain on the boney bridge area when I push on it and feels bumpy and irregular. He performed a lateral osteotomy without using spreader grafts and now my nose looks sunken in at the bone region and to thin. It also feels like the nasal bones are really really short. What is causing this and can this be corrected with a revision?
I'm not sure if I have hemorisidin staining on the left side particularly. I'm very dark above and below my left eye. It's gone concave above my left eye and c concave on the upper left bridge. I've been using arnica, now switched to hirudoid cream, and have ordered auriderm eye gel with vitamin k oxide. I have what feels like cartlidge sticking out on the left. My nose curves right later. I look like I'm developing a twisted nose s shaped I look like I've aged with hollow sunken eyes. Any ideas??
