I have used tretnoin since I was 21 and I have amazing glass skin from it after being prescribed for skin issues. An injectior told me this that I was seeing about under eye filler since I've noticed lots of skin thinning there. I'm 26, is this true?
I did the mistake to use hemorroid cream as I read that it works well for eye bags. The cream had cortison and my skin thinned a bit. This causes the blood vains to shine through and you can see it as a reddish area close to the eye. i read great things about retinol / retin-a that could help my skin getting thicker to hide the red area. What would you recommend in my case? Retinol cremes or Retin-A / Tretinoin? I read that some people got worse eye shadows after using Retin-A.
I had faint fine lines and hyperpigmentation on my upper lip. Derm said to use OTC retinol, but the retinol traveled up the lines and lightened them and seemingly caused new lines. Now I'm using Environ's retinol, Vita-Peptide C-Quench. I notice many MORE lines on each side of my upper lip and an orange peel texture. Is retinol thinning the skin to create more lines? Will it ever thicken the skin? I don't know if I should discontinue using retinol/Vitamin A or if I need to stick to it.
So I used retinA for the last 2 years now acne is very minimal and sporadic. started to use triluma combined with retin A .1 in Sept 2017 and heard that triluma is only supposed to be used for 2 months? i have been using about 5 nights/week for the last 4 months. My nose gets red if I pinch it im Black with relatively dark skin so im concerned this red nose thing is a sign of thinning skin I am not sure what the long term effects of either cream is so im a bit concerned
I'm on my 3rd month of retin-A. Should I keep my every-night application of retin-A if my face still peels some days? The skin isn't dry or flaking, just small bits of skin that could easily come off if scrubbed. Is this normal even if I'm on my 3rd month of retin-A already or should I use it less often? I dont go under the sun, I dont have any irritation, redness, or itchyness. Just worried that the surface of my skin will become too thin or become too sensitive over time. Thank you
A dermatology P.A. told me that if I continue to use retin-a in a few years I will have broken blood vessels and really thin skin. Is there any truth to this. I have been using retin-a for 5 years and I also use glycolic acid 15% daily with a sunblock. My regular dermatologist recommends the product. I am worried now that I am doing more harm than good to my skin. I am 26 years old.
I've been using Tretinoin 0.1% for 2 weeks now. First timer-used .1% around my whole face, and around eyes Everyday for 2 weeks. Face-filled with acne,Eye-red,irritated,wrinkly and later diagnosed with conjunctivits. No one informed me of correct usage or dosage-So after some research,I NOW know my dosage was too strong, I used it Everyday which is why it got irritated.BUT My question is 1.when will these dry wrinkles, thin skin, acne go away? 2.Is this permanent? 3.Are Tretinoin Effects reversible?
