I am 57 and was recently prescribed Tretinoin .025. Will this make my skin too thin? How long do I wait before moisturizing?

Retin-A is best used all over the face to reduce signs of aging and sun damage. You can then spot-treat the darker spots with a bleaching agent or light/laser therapy to help blend those areas to the rest of your skin. Retin-A should not be used around your eyes.  Even if you mix it will moisturizer.  I would recommend you use an eye cream or consider laser or a chemical peel for treating the eye area.  Best of luck to you.
