I had eye surgery for ptosis on both eyes back in February this year. My doctor suggested fixing both eyes, although I was mainly worried about my left eye. After the surgery, I'm not happy with how my eyelids look. My left eye looks really hooded and the epicanthic fold is gone, and my right eye covers a bit of my pupil making it look angled. I just want to make my eyes look more natural and symmetrical, but I don't know where to get help (many doctors don't do revision eyelid surgery).
2 years ago I had ptosis surgery performed on both eyelids. I had a prior surgeon inform me that my eyelids were symmetrical yet my left eyelid felt droopy at times. Now I notice my eyelids are flatter and eyes feel smaller than before which is an insecurity of mine. My eyes are also dry each morning even after using warm compress and eye drops/gel. So Im not sure if its due to overcorrection or not because I can still close my eyelids. Can this be reversed back to its original form?
I had a ptosis correction done 6weeks ago. I think I am looking older and have fierce looking eyes. The gap between my brows and eyelids/eyes are also very narrow after surgery. Do I expect to see more improvement (more natural looking) or is there any way to correct the crease/ distance since excess skin has already been removed?
I had surgery back in 2018. I have always had hooded eyes and under my hooded eyes I had big eyelids which I liked . My only problem was that I had one laying lower than the other. So I got my surgery done and I went from having eyelid to having almost none. My question is : can it be reverse if he took skin from the ptosis lid and lifted the other eyes eyelid?
I had ptosis surgery 2 months ago. My eyelid was overcorrected, so 2 weeks ago my surgeon performed the surgery again to bring it down but its still too high. Can this just be reversed as it was before surgeries? What is the best kind of doctor to fix others mistakes?
I expeiernced extreme sweeling post surgery day 6. I am worried that because of the asymmetrical swelling it makes my eyes look strange. My right eye is wide open and my left eye which was extremely swollen is no near as open as the right. It had been five weeks since my surgery. So can ptosis surgery be reversed? Is there a time frame it has to be reversed by? Or if not will revisional surgery be successful to get my eyes to at least closely match in size.
I had right eye ptosis surgery and fixation of the incision to the levator to create a defined lid crease (tarsal fixation). The ptosis is gone, but I think the incision and tarsal fixation was done a little too high. My left (normal) eye is hooded which I like, but the right (operated) eye crease seems higher and there is more eyelid tarsus exposed. I think the fixation was done too high. Can the tarsal fixation be undone and the adhesions of the skin to the levator be released a bit?
