Dear doctors, first thank you for the kind responses to my prior message. I saw an oculoplastic surgeon to ask how I can lower my eyelid crease and fix the slight ptosis. She recommended the Mullerectomy and the 10% phenylephrine drop did improve the crease (see photo). She would not do an anterior approach because of risk of overcorrection. My questions: 1) How certain can I be that my Mullerectomy result would look like the drop test result? 2) The drop test overcorrected my lid, what then?
Dear doctors, could you please advise on what kind of surgery I should have to address my issue? About 8 months ago my left eyelid started to droop and the crease is now much higher. In general I feel that both eyelids no longer retract like they used to. Both lids look normal in the morning and the left one droops and the crease gets higher as the day goes on Can you also say if crease lowering is actually achievable?
I developed ptosis over the past year in my left eye and my eyelid crease is suddenly much higher. It's better in the morning and gets worse as the day goes on. What is the best way to correct this, and how likely is success? I don't want to make things worse.
I had congenital ptosis surgery in 2020 by an oculoplastic asorps surgeon in Houston. I had revisional surgery a year later. It has now been 1 year since the revision and my eyelid has multiple creases, bunched skin, and folds I never had before. My surgeon has said she can try and use a laser to tighten my skin. No skin removal so far. What would you do? I'm scared to trust my surgeon again but hate the swollen appearance of my eyelid. I can live with the height improvement I've achieved.
The ptosis in my right eye has become worse with age. My left eye is also hooded. Id feel SO much more confident if I had symmetry. I feel this is the 1st thing people notice & its impossible to hide. Is the symmetry in the after photo possible? Would ptosis sx lower my brow, high crease, & pull the retracted fat to the front to reduce hollowness? Would I also need a bleph on my left eye? Ive never had any procedures, filler, or used lash serums. I really hope surgery could correct this.
I had Ptosis surgery over 3 years ago. My eye shape is ruined half of my face looks different looks like Im squinting always and have multiple eyelid creases can my eyelid be repaired is there surgery to correct the shape of my eye? I want my almond shape back with out causing my eyes to shrink. What are my options? Note - my eyelid flaps over my eyelashes (inner corner)
Im about to be 9 months post op in 19 days & Im extremely unhappy with my results. As u can see in my before pic, my left eye *the eye that got operated on* was smaller than my right eye. But now, my left eye is the bigger eye AND my crease doesnt look right at all. I cant do my eyeliner the same anymore its so depressing. I feel like my surgeon over corrected my left eye. He said I have whats called hering related right upper eyelid ptosis but idk.. I cry daily about this
Congenital cataract in left eye - cataract removed at age 2 but no lens implanted. This left me with amblyopia, strabismus, and ptosis in the left eye. At 17 - strabismus surgery - successful. Then, 6 months later - ptosis surgery. Now, the asymmetry is even worse. The crease is too high and my eye looks permanently swollen. It's been 4 years. Unfortunately, the ophthalmologist who performed the procedure did not want to own up to her mistake, so she refused to correct it.. Please help
