Im looking to have prp on my eyebrows for hair regrowth after stress, covid TE and now resolved SD Ive seen reference to risk of shock loss or hair shedding in prp if too much is injected in any one site. One very good consultant indicated he would inject blebs under the surface at follicle depth - if this is essentially a bubble of the plasma could this represent an increased risk of fall? He seemed to think the issue was more about interval length between treatments.
It's been almost 4 years I'm suffering from CTE with eyelashes and eyebrows shading! Im really looking for a treatment that will help me get through it with less damage an suffering instead of waiting years without doing anything about it. Vitamin doesn't help anymore. I don't take rogaine I'm against this medication. I prefer natural haircare, PRP or meso. What do you recommend even if no guarantee ? Each shower is a nightmare i lost 50% of my hair.
I have had significant hair loss over the last 5 years. Dermatologists have told me it's TE. I m 56 and prior to this had extremely full hair. One dermatologist told me prp would not help my condition. Is it true that prp won't help with TE?
I've always had a full head of hair and I've noticed thinning for the last year. I'm seeing a dermatologist and getting corticosteroid injections approx once a month, they don't seem to be working. From what I'm reading ferritin needs to be between 50 & 70 for hair regrowth. My AA was triggered by menopause but I question that because I've been postmenopausal for the last 4 year and my hair started thinning a year ago. Would PRP be a good option for me? Thank you.
I was diagnosed with acute TE approximately 5 weeks ago. Per my hairdresser, I have already lost 30% of my hair. I did see a dermatologist and an internal med physician. All my labs were normal. They both said I could try laser and/or PRP but neither one had an experience with it working for TE. Do you know if the above treatments can help regrow my hair or at least slow the shedding down? Both of the physicians said the schedding can last 3-6 months. Im only 5 weeks in. Help!
I am thinking about starting 0.25mg minoxidil with Spironolactone. Would it be okay to use 100-200mg Spironolactone and 0.25 minoxidil to treat my FPHL? I am also planning on adding in PRP after a few months. Do you think this is an effective way to maintain the hair I have? Topical rogaine was very irritating to my scalp therefore I would like to use low dose minoxidil instead.
I have hair fall and I started doing prp and it didnt really stop my hair fall it just made some of my hair strands thicker. after doing prp I started noticing thin new hairs falling this was not the case before the PRP. I went dermatologist and she diagnosed me with telogen effluvium but what about the new thin hairs falling. My new hairs are falling some are thick and some thin. I always had hair fall but not this much. It started falling A LOT 3 months ago and still going
I have Graves Disease and had RAI in February, became hypothyroid, started taking Synthroid the end of May. In June I started to lose a significant amount of hair. This has slowed down but I'm still losing a lot and can notice a difference in the thickness of my hair as well as being able to see my scalp. My endo said this is telogen effluvium since that the hairs lost all seem to have the bulb at the end. Will PRP help slow the shedding/re-grow my hair? Is it possible to lose more hair w/PRP?
Considering getting PRP done - likely with Acell. What's considered to be the best concentration levels for PRP? Results seems to vary across doctors. What are best practices for implementing and maximizing success with PRP? What sort of questions should I ask the practitioners during consults regarding the process to help ensure I choose wisely? Also, I believe I have Androgenic Alopecia and Telogen Effluvium - would PRP help?
