I have read that it does but I have been told by a surgeon and registered nurse that it doesn't. They may have been referring to a lesser numbing agent that Lidocaine. The procedure is very painful and I have a high tolerance to pain. Will sing Lidocaine reduce the effectiveness? Also hat is best way to remove it before procedure? Should I just use rubbing alcohol and get the most out that I can?
hello i had a Prp (platelet rich plasma) and acell procedure done on monday and on wensday i experienced pains behind the heat and discovered a hard mass which i learned was the occipital lymph node, there is a constant numb pain and feels like stabbing when you touch it, it doesnt move at all, no fever or signs of infection and a white blood cell test was done today but results havent been done yet. warm showers help for the time in shower.
I had 1 session of PRP in April this year. Nothing was wrong with my hair, I was just hoping to thicken it up. 4 weeks later I started having intense itching and tingling followed by hair fall and burning sensation on the scalp. This has been going on for 3 months. My scalp looks normal other than getting red and hot when it starts to burn. The symptoms come and go and I believe it is burning scalp syndrome with Telegen effluvium. Steroid creams did not help. How can I treat this?
I am 24 years old male. I had my PRP 4 months back. From that I am facing mild headaches. The headache is very mild. But it is present most of the time. I can also feel that part where I was injected are somewhat swollen. Swollen mean when I touch my scalp, I can feel that the part where I was injected is still uneven. Shall I be concerned about this. What might be the reason for the pain? Is it due to the scalp still not healed properly or shall I take an mri?
Had my 1st prp hair treatment 13 days ago. The doc injected me anesthesia twice in a form of a ring and made many injections of the prp in the crown area. On the 2nd day i suffered pain in the treated areal I tried Tylenol but it didnt help the pain so I took 1 pill of Advil 400 mg. 3 days ago I saw my forehead has really swollen (see photos) so I took 60 mg of prednisone. In the evening I saw that the swelling has migrated to my nose bridge and around my eyes.is it normal? Why it happen? Thank you
I recently had PRP injections for a small bald area on my scalp. When it was time to inject the PRP into my scalp, I asked about the numbing. I had read on other websites that a numbing cream would be applied before injecting. He said they did not do numbing and that numbing would decrease the effectiveness of the shots. I am not afraid of needles or shots but I have to say that the shots were extremely painful. Is it normal to not be numbed at all?
I had PRP on the hair scalp done approx 7 weeks ago. The needling was extremely painful so my dr injected a freeze to block the pain (above pupils of eyes). The gun was less painful. Approx 7 weeks later, I still feel mild brain fog, i.e. my thoughts not as crisp and clear as before. Could there be nerve or other damage from the PRP? Has anyone experienced this and does it go away after time?
I experienced weak upper legs after the 1st PRP injection on my left hip. Doc said muscle was recorrecting. I completely lost strength on both my upper legs after the 2nd injection. Doc gave no explanation. I have to drag my lower legs to support the body weight on walking. People can see me walking in pain for balance. I stop for the 3rd injection. What went wrong with the injection?
I had 3 PRP injections. She didnt numb my scalp. The first 2 treatments, spaced 2 weeks apart went fine. After my 3rd treatment, I've been having a lot of burning for around two months. My scalp is very sensitive to touch. It hurts to brush or even wear a loose hat. I've also lost more hair! Blood tests & a scalp biopsy didn't provide any answers. I'm not sure what to do. Is it possible she hit a nerve? Have you ever heard of this happening? Thank You!!
