Is it normal to feel pressure & discomfort in a tooth that has just had a veneer? If so, how long does this last? (Photo)

Hi I have recently had a veneer placed on my front tooth. The tooth now feels almost as if there is a build up of pressure within it, it is not painful but just very uncomfortable. Also when I press down on the gum above the tooth it is quite sore. I have seen my dentist twice since and he has checked the vitality of the tooth and it is still alive. He has also checked my bite and it is also fine. He believes the tooth is just trying to settle. I just wanted to get a second opinion.

With crown lengthening, the end result creates more area for tooth structure above the gum. In essence, bone is removed and gum tissue typically recedes or follows where the bone is newly leveled to. So in that case, any lengthening causes the gum to recede a certain amount exposing possible...
