Trying to decide between a VI peel and 2 PCA peel (enhanced Jessner peel + hydroquinone then resorcinol). I have type IV olive skin and would like to improve texture, light scarring and hyperpigmentation. I am new to peels. Can anyone who has used both peels tell me about the difference between the two in terms of downtime, effectiveness and recommend which is better?
Specifically the PCA peel with Hydroqunione & Resorcinol VS the VI peel Purify. Which is more recommended for the treatment of acne and hyperpigmentation? What are the differences in recovery-time, ingredients, amount of peeling, pain, and price? Thank you!
They use a blended TCA peel from PCA skin and I have been getting them once every 6 weeks. I was doing my normal freak out research and medium level peels are only supposed to be done every 2-3 and sometimes every 4-6 months. Am I overdoing it? Should I be concerned about the spa I'm going too? 1st peel: Dec 27th 2nd: Jan 25th 3rd: April 17th Also, this is probably me just freaking out, still like some input. The spa is PCA certified and has a doctor at the office who does medical grade.
Returned from holiday around 5 days ago. I burnt my face really badly and my forehead started to peel, I scrubbed it off although it was not ready and then sat back In the sun ( stupid I know ) !!! I now have a massive line and red mark centre of my forehead in between brows, skin is growing back at diff rates and some parts look completely raw skin also looks thicker in some areas than others. Have I perm damaged my skin ? Any advice welcome pls as Im panicking so so much. Photo attached.
