I had a lipoma removal 6 weeks ago on my thigh. The incision has healed nicely. However a couple of weeks ago it started swelling and its hard and there is some bruising showing up on top of that. It is also very painful. What does this mean?
6 weeks ago, I had over a dozen lipomas removed (legs, abdomen, back, arms). Since then, Ive noticed about a half dozen new (small) lipomas that are new. It is *not* me noticing lipomas that were already there for the first time. There are another half dozen that I knew about. I am in my 30s and my sister had also had a few removed, suggesting hyperfamilial lipoma (sp?)
I had a minor surgery to remove a lipoma (4cm) on the crown of my head. The procedure was supposed to be 10 minutes but took almost an hour because it turned out that the lipoma was covered with lots of blood vessels (angiolipoma?) Since the surgery (6 weeks ago) ive had a golf ball sized swelling on my head. The doctor initially told me would resolve in the first 2 weeks. Ive had most of it drained by doctor (it is thick blood) but within 12 hours it is golfball sized again. Any thoughts?
7 cm Lipoma removed 6 weeks ago. Located below my ribs and above hip. Felt great until about 2 weeks ago. Very uncomfortable especially when sitting. Surgeon says it is scar tissue. Basically said if it is still painful in a few months to come back.
Had a 5 cm lipoma on left flank growing slowly. After a normal fnac surgeon operated it on 2nd June .and discharged me after the night . No drainage was there. now there is a tiny abcess on the cut. And there is pain as if it is done only yesterday. The pain is not much but drawing concentration all the time. The pain is like some needle going inside all the time. After this one and half month why should there be light pain on touch or light rubbing?
I had a lipoma on my forehead removed by a plas. surgeon about 6 weeks ago. The incision is within my hairline. The swelling has never completely gone done. It has improved dramatically, but there's still quite a bit and it's mainly along the incision. It's not painful or infected. I also do not believe it to be any gathering of fluid. I'm simply unsure why the swelling won't go down. I've used ice packs, warm compresses, taken anti-inflammatory meds, and nothing seems to be helping.
