I understand that a HIFU treatment could result in very little swelling to moderate swelling in some. Could HIFU swelling last for longer than a couple of weeks in lower face? If so, what is the typical amount of time to have some swelling to linger after? Looking at the newest technology available to me with Darwin ProLift HIFU in Canada. Thank you
After I had my buccal far removal I ended up having a very bad swelling and fluid formation on one side of my check and that really has caused the skin to stretch a lot and get droopy. One side of my face seems to be very bad .. I was thinking of getting a laser resurfacing expecting that it might look better . Your thoughts?
I had a blepharoplasty two years ago. While I'm still happy I went through with it, there is some textured skin above my eyes and the area isn't as defined as it originally was. When I consulted my surgeon about a revision, he advised against it saying that it was chronic collection of lymph fluid in that area. (I had asked if my tear glands protruding were the issue.) He wasn't sure how to handle this problem. Would laser resurfacing be a way to address the lymphedema here?
Skin background - long history of seb derm / rosacea involving a variety of topicals (antifungals, corticosteroids, etc.) applied to the skin above my upper lip. The below pictures show a red line with visible white spots (black arrows) on the vermilion border of my upper lip. The red line is slightly raised and hard relative to the surrounding areas. The skin is slightly ridged (see green circles), and the ridges encompass and extend upward from the dots / redness. Thank you.
It's been 3 months since this nightmare began. I had my face done with Radiesse and am having persistent swelling and redness under my eyes after very bad bruising. I completed trusted my PS - bad move. The Dr has started to try Gemini laser but they are not leaving. Will these lasers help? What is happening? I'm finding it hard to trust him now and feel like he's brushing me off. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
I recently (2wks) had laser skin resurfacing with and some fillers for my eyes and labial folds. My eyes however are still very sensitive and it looks like I have liquid filled sacs under my eyes. Is this normal
My derm diagnosed me with Rosacea. I have been on metro cream and three different antibiotics. He recently prescribed Tretinoin .025%. Im terrified it will make my condition worse. Ive heard it causes swelling and can actually cause the problems I am having now. Have you ever heard of prescribing tret for Rosacea? Do you recommend or should I seek another opinion?
The doctor had to numb my face just below my eyes to do the procedure because of my tolerance to pain. The left side has gotten the bruise over the last two days and now swelling seems worse with discomfort/slight pain. It is Saturday, should I go to the doctor Monday or emergency room tommorrow? The right side is fine. Please advise.
