Hello. I'm 38 with fair, sensitive skin. I had laser resurfacing with Ebrium Yag in December 2023. There have been some complications with slow healing and contact dermatitis. I am following up with the doctor that performed the procedure. Current treatment is PDL. I am told it will resolve, but I still have concerns. I read that there can be irreversible thermal damage and prolonged erythema can mean impending scarring. Should I be concerned? Should I get a second opinion?
I have suferd from awful/embarasing rosacea facial redness for 15yrs, also have capilarys on nose/chin. Treatment-Im currently using Metrogel 1%/500mg tetracycline everynite for past 4 months and results have been ok but isnt enough. I have melasma & skin is sensitive to harsh stuf. My last resort is doing laser therapy to either completly remove/much better manage the redness-im @ my wits end. Which IPL or other laser treatment will drasticaly improve redness? How long will results last?
I am a 39 year old fair skinned redhead with hyperpigmentation that I want erased. My derm told me to do a session of three lighter CO2 treatments (ablative) as Im sensitive and cant handle the downtime of full force. However, another extremely reputable derm mentioned Ultra. I would pair either treatment with RF micro needling with PRP for tightening as well, but first things first, I want my brown spots gone! Any recommendations on which would be better?
I have sensitive rosacea skin with flushing and large pores. Is there an option other than Vbeam/Lasers for the following? I have sensitive rosacea skin with flushing - only slightly pink, but very sensitive to temperature changes. I also have large pores that just make my cheeks look bad. Overall texture does not look good because of the pores and pinkish/reddish hue. I had three Vbeam treatments and I did not respond well, actually caused my skin to be more sensitive, which I know is odd, but it did. Any suggestions?
My skin is absolutely horrific. What can be done for all of these dark marks all over my face? I did not suffer from acne or anything of the sort. They sort of just appeared overnight. I do not want to do topicals because my skin is extremely sensitive. Are there lasers to help with this?
Hi I started noticing a brown spot on my right boob a couple of years ago. Its brown but not as noticeableas it is in the picture. Can Meladerm be used to lighten it..? I have sensitive skin and am going through electrolysis currently on my chest area. Whats the best way of looking after this area in general to stop dryness, melasma etc
After having severe acne during puberty, I have been left with blotchy and sensitive skin with permanent redness. I decided to try an IPL treatment, again. I had a series of three a few years back with no results (different doctor). A week after treatment I started getting lighter patches. My skin also became very reactive to the Skinoren (azelaic acid 20%). After a month, my skin looked more red and blotchy. After the second treatment, the redness have subsided. But the uneven texture remains.
The skin has very little protection after a resurfacing procedure and may be damaged more easily by ultraviolet light. Is the skin forever afterwards more sensitive to ultraviolet light after refsurfacing, or will use of Suncreen SPF 30 be sufficient for the remainder of ones life?
I have very sensitive skin and just had my second session of laser resurfaccing August 1st. Now my skin is breaking out again and I don't know what to do! I can't use facial cleansers and washes that only makes it worse. I was on accutane for 7 months until last october and that was the only thing that cured my acne before but it had serious side effects and I don't have insurance now since I just turned 19 and got taken off my moms. Please help, I don't want more scars.
