I have sensitive rosacea skin with flushing and large pores. Is there an option other than Vbeam/Lasers for the following? I have sensitive rosacea skin with flushing - only slightly pink, but very sensitive to temperature changes. I also have large pores that just make my cheeks look bad. Overall texture does not look good because of the pores and pinkish/reddish hue. I had three Vbeam treatments and I did not respond well, actually caused my skin to be more sensitive, which I know is odd, but it did. Any suggestions?
Answer: Can be combined with LaseMD treatments Vbeam laser is an excellent modality for patients who have rosacea, blushing of the skin, facial and body telangiectasia, spider veins, redness, post surgical redness, and skin flushing. It is a safe procedure that can be used at varying depths to help treat micro blood vessels in the skin. We also use it in our office for facial skin inflammation, keloids, and hypertrophic scarring. It is an important part of scar therapy. Vbeam can be combined with chemical peels and other lasers, but experience with the treatment is essential. The Vbeam laser does not affect deeper tissue. Schedule a consultation with an expert in Vbeam and you will find it to be an excellent modality for many skin types. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Rosacea and lasers We have had the best success with the gentlemax pro laser with the Alex/Yag dual platform. Using the photofacial option, the response of rosacea to treatment has been great with greatly reduced redness and size of pores plus reduction in acne. Most patients get a series of three monthly treatments. So far, we have not seen any increased skin sensitivity. On average, patients may have to return for an annual maintenance treatment after the initial sessions. This depends, of course, on how well you maintain sun protection and avoidance of triggers for your rosacea.

Answer: RF Microneedling Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling is a procedure that triggers the production of long-term collagen and elastin while also having a coagulative effect on the lower dermis. The procedure is ideal for patients that would like to shrink pore size and improve textural problems. Remember to always consult with a board-certified cosmetic physician when planning your procedure.
