I am taking YAG sessions since 5 months now and I can see visible results. Some areas like thighs and biknini area are still showing thicker hair.. YAG laser is costing my expensive here and Dioade laser clinincs are giving me better deals. I want to ask that if i take Diode laser after 6 sessions of YAG, will that have any kind of effect on my hair growth? can it cause any negative effect like regrowth or anything? Please advice.
I went recently for my first appointment and barely felt any discomfort in my legs and sideburns. I want her to increase the setting for my next appointment as I really want to maximize the efficacy of the treatments. I had no side effects, redness, swelling etc afterwords.
What's more effective and safer for type IV skin? Yag or Diode. I had 1 treatment with a Candela Gentleyag 3 months ago (underarm) but dont see a difference, 3 years ago I had it done (underarm & bikini line with a yag) and my skin inflamed, looked like blisters for hours, then went away, didn't see a difference either, all hair grew back. A nurse practitioner said Diode could be more effective on me but would that be safe? Also, which Yag is better: the Candela or Cynosure Apogee Elite, and why? I'm getting a Brazilian Bikini, part of my labial area is darker (black).
I have had 15 treatments with the Alexandrite Gentlelase candela. As I have continued to educate myself more about the types of lasers suitable for my skin type, I am now starting to doubt whether I should continue using the Alexandrite laser or switch to the Cynosure Elite nd:YAG laser. I would like to know which one would be the MOST EFFECTIVE for my skin type and hair thickness. The pictures were taken two weeks after my last laser treatment. (The black dots are the destroyed hair follicles)
I am of Indian origin and was considering IPL/ND Yag laser for my skin. I am skin type 4-5. I have heard of constraints in both the types ND Yag is not good for long term (>6 months) IPL was not originally created for hair removal and I am not sure of its effect on Indian skin. Please suggest the best hair removal method for me.
I'm getting face laser resurfacing done to address poor skin texture, acne scars and acne marks. I have hair growing on my cheek, on the sides of my eyebrows (temples). I want to go in for YAG laser hair removal (or whatever is safest). I have dark, thick hair and I'm skin type 4 (male). I'm getting Palomar Starlux platform 1540nm laser resurfacing done. How soon should I wait? Is it preferable to get one done before the other? Will YAG ruin the improvements of the 1540?
Polycystic ovarian syndrome and hypothyroidism. A mix of very coarse and fine dark brown hair. III/IV skin type with lots of PIH and darkness in inner thighs elbows underarms knees and bikini area. What's the most suitable laser hair removal machine for me to get rid of the hair as fast and as safe from burns a possible? Duetto MT or gentle laser pro? Or something else? Also 6 sessions every 6 weeks are enough to get rid of most of the hair?
I want to remove some of the hair on my sideburn area. Some of the hairs are lighter than others and I know I won't get 100% removal, but I'd like to get rid of the darker hairs without a great risk of hyperpigmentation or inducing excess hair growth. During some consultations I was told that the Alexandrite would be fine for reducing some of the sideburn area, while at others I was told that I should never use an Alexandrite on my skin. What should I do?
