So Ive wanted lip fillers for years and Ive had consults with doctors. They all tell me its best or well the only way to avoid bumps, lumps, migration and or necrosis or vascular occlusion is to go slow and build over time so like 1ml each visit maybe less. This is a bit tough for me to grasp because I want my end goal outcome straight away after waiting so long. Can you all help me feel okay with going slow? I have my appointment next month for juvaderm
I had my first experience of juvederm yesterday and the nurse practitioner hit an artery i suffered an occlusion and within moments I developed necrosis immediately she dissolved the filler within minutes, Is this just a bad experience or is it something i could have done again in the future? Obviously I am now very nervous about any procedures but have always wanted my lips doing and would like a definitive answer
Ive had JUVDERM injected before and yesterday I went to a different doctor to get my sec syringe JUVDERM but Ive being having sever pain, bruising and even my gums are purple and swollen and Im very concerned and freaking out, the first time I wasnt in any pain and barely had any bruising. I cant move my upper lip or touch it with out being in so much pain, Im very swollen purple black, even on top near my nose, Ive being icing and using arnica, should I go to my doctor
Injector gave me a vascular occlusion 3 weeks go which caused blistering above my lip on a small patch, dissolved all the filler in my top lip now lips look funny, can I correct my lips or does this mean I cannot do filler again? She definitely put too much which I believe caused it but now the top lip is empty is it safe to seek correction with a small amount of filler? Because we dissolved all the filler in my nasolabial folds is gone too and my face looks out of proportion
I had lip fillers 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately I developed a rash which went all the way up my right cheek and on my nose (to the right again). It turned out that I had vascular occlusion and had to go through a very painful process. The product was removed from the upper right lip and I have been on a lot of medication such as steroids, viagra, heparin, etc. I am happy to say that the swelling, rash has gone now however my lips are uneven, what can I do? If anything?
Hi there! I had lip filler done two days ago with Juvederm. Upon injection my upper lip blanched and turned blue. My doctor immediately recognized it as a vascular occlusion and within 40 minutes he used two vials of hyaluronidase to remove the occlusion. I am not in severe pain however, the corner of my upper lip is tingly and numb. I cant tell if this is severe bruising or the start of necrosis. I booked in with him for this afternoon to check but I want more opinions. Thank you.
While I understand that non cross linked HA products and dermal fillers have a different purpose, are products like Juvederm Hydrate, Belotero Hydro, etc, etc safer? Any surgeon care to explain the science behind it? My understand is that fillers that are cross linked are more likely to lead to vascular occlusion if they are injected by a poorly training beautician as they swell up? I can see my local beautician is offering belotero hydro for an excellent price.
Juverderm plus injected directly into my artery. On week 2 now looks more like second degree burn after melting some filler out. What/ how can I fix this and will I need corrective measures.
I had an occlusion after Juvederm In lips yesterday. By the time I got home I had dusky bottom lip and chin. I was told take aspirin, massage and heat. It seemed more pink after doing that. But by night it looked a lot worse so she said to update her in the morning. This morning it has not gotten worse but has not improved. She said she believes its no longer occluded. She prescribed me prednisone and told me to continue aspirin/heat. Am I still occluded? Im worried my skin is permanently damaged
