When I was younger I had an accident in which I busted out my two front teeth (this was about ten years ago). My dentist at the time fixed them, not sure exactly what they used, but I know it was not porcelain. It was only half of each tooth so you can see the color difference where the real teeth stop and the fake starts. Im looking at getting invisalign but Im not sure if I should get my smile straightened first, or if I should wait until I get those two teeth rodone.
The dental assistant did both a 3D scan of my teeth and an impression for the temporary retaIners. The temporary one hurt my teeth I think because when she did my impression the stuff was a lot more liquidy than usual. I was told it would only take a couple days to get my Invisalign retainers so I decided to wait without wearing my retainers. I called a week later and was told it would be 2 to 3 wks. Called again and was told 5 to 6 wks. Now it has been 9 wks. Does it really take that long?
I went on vacation a couple months ago and didn't wear my aligners the whole week. Since then, I've been slacking with my trays. I now wear them for about 5 hours during the day and when I sleep at night. I'm supposed to change trays every week but I've been wearing my current trays for about a week and a half now. When I tried on my next set last night, they didn't feel right. How long should I wait to change trays again? Any suggestions for getting back into the swing of wear them 20+ hours?
Hi there, I've wanted to straighten my teeth as long as I can remember and am finally reaching a point where I may be able to afford it. I am strongly considering invisalign and I'm wondering if this would be a good option for me? If it's possible I would also like a ballpark estimate of how long it would take? If I am willing to settle for a slightly less perfect result can the process be shortened and/or cost less? Or is it all or nothing? Thank you!
My son had his impressions made on January 8th. they said it would take 8-10 weeks for them to come back. It's been almost 5 months now and we still haven't received them. Is this normal? I have called them a couple of times and they keep telling me it takes longer, one time it was 12 weeks and then again they said 16 weeks. They keep changing the time.
I lost my invisalign and I was on my last pair. I've actually been on this pair for a month and they took out the bumps a week ago. They're ordering another set but it won't come in until December. What should I do?
