My gums are sensitive and I noticed they bleed when I floss and they also look a bit swollen. To add, i use Invisalign retainers. I went to a dentist and he recommended the Arestin treatment. The gums do not look severe however it is a bother. Is there another alternative to the Arestin? I find this treatment too pricey for my condition. Should I look for another dentist for a second opinion? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
i am on my 43/57 tray, and i wear each tray one week each. the tray im wearing at the moment is unbelievably painful, the edges are really sharp no matter how much i try to file it down and at this point just wearing them will make my mouth bleed where they cut at it, and my tongue is covered in bumps and is numb :( i have 3 days until i would have switched this tray out, is it safe to start wearing 44 early and then just continue from my normal schedule ?
I got a crown after a root canal procedure more than 5 years ago. Since February 2016, I started wearing Invisalign braces. This week when I switched to my 7 out of 20 aligners, I have been noticing bleeding around that particular crown. Could it be from wearing braces? My dentist checked my x-ray last year and didn't notice anything odd with this tooth area.
I am on tray 14 and have never experienced this before. There is irritation in the space between 2 teeth and when I remove the tray, it bleeds slightly. I am not sure if this tray is defective or if this is normal. I can not get in touch with my orthodontist until after the holidays and I don't want to continue to wear it if it is causing damage.
I've just started using invisalign but whenever I take it off to eat I'm in alot of pain and I sometimes bleed. I have 2 attachment on my top teeth and this is only were the pain occurs. Even after I've managed to take of invisalign I'm in pain while I'm trying to eat. So, I would like to know if there are any tips or ways to take off the invisalign without feelings as little pain as possible.
2.5 years of wearing braces, the DDS. crafted an invisalign retainer. This appliance is so tight, and It is incredibly difficult to remove. In fact, I observed my daughter using two hands and a great amount of force to remove the appliance to brush her teeth, and this was not enough for the retainer to come out. She tried several times to extract the thing. When it finally released its hold on her teeth, it made her bleed. I need to know if this is normal or if the appliance was made wrong.
