Halo done on monday. It is now friday. My skin is so dry and tight. Looks like peeling. But it's so dry it's like crystalized. Feels like sandpaper. They prescribed cicalfate a zinc based product.. it doesn't seem to moisturize as it feels more baked on to the dryness.. and advise against aquaphor. Should keep advise or use the aquaphor? Other suggestions?
Hello! I had a Halo treatment done on Friday (May 4th) and it is now May 6th and the skin around my mouth and nose is so dry it feels like I have Elmers glue all over my face. It is so tight I have difficulty opening my mouth without pain. The skin is starting to wrinkle from all the dryness. Ive been applying non stop moisturizer, doing the vinegar mask, and it is becoming painful. I knew there would be dryness but my skin feels like its ready to splinter. Is this normal. What do I do
I went back to the dr's office but she was not there. Therefore the skin estetition told me that I have been using to much moisturizer and it agrivated it. I did shave a very small quarter size area on my chin just because I had to go to the store. she said that it agrivated it too. I asked for a extra steroid dose pack but she refused. I did get her to refill my doxycycline. She also said that I can take Benadryl. Now I am taking the max daily dose of Benadryl 400mg. Still have fluid filled bumps
I was recommended a few makeups by my laser therapist, and my doc's office gave me a cleanser, thick moisturizer for afterward (she also approved my Cerave to start a week after the treatment), and sunscreen. I'd like to know other's opinions just for curiosity. And when do you recommend starting retinol again? I use the 0.05%. Thank you!
I had HALO laser done around 3 weeks ago and lately my skin has been feeling VERY dry. I've been applying a moisturizer to try to keep my skin from getting so dry but I still have that very dry feeling and look.
