It's been a year since my transplant and I have far less density than I should. The transplanted hairs are growing in length, but they're very dry and have a wiry/kinky texture. Is this the result of a botched procedure? I did have a short phase where I smoked a couple cigarettes per day that started about five months after the transplant. I stopped smoking again about a month ago. Is it possible that smoking delayed my growth/healing, and can I expect the texture to change from here?
Hello is smoking cigarettes really going to ruin a hair transplant? Last year after my first FUT I vaped HEAVILY beginning 2 days right after my procedure. I also smoked cigarettes here and there and for sure 3-4 months after I started smoking cigarettes exclusively 1-10 per day everyday. And I had excellent results of my HT. I go to the gym twice a day, have perfect diet and supplement regimens, and am very healthy otherwise. Can anyone answer why I still got great results??
It's been a month after my 2000 graft FUE procedure, during which time I have abstained from using my e-pipe, as recommended by my plastic surgeon. Now that it has been an entire month, can I begin vaping again? I'm aware that nicotine is not very good for a person in general, but specifically relating to the proper development of the grafted follicles, is there any risk in a light (2-3 times per day) vaping habit at this point?
I plan on getting a hair transplant soon. My hair stylist is a heavy smoker (reeks of cigarette smoke), and Im not sure she washes her hands prior to cutting hair. If I get a haircut from her (at about 5 weeks post-op), would that harm my grafts at all? Thanks.
I am 24yrs old male recently i have undergone fue hair transplantation 4 weeks ago I am regular smoker since 1 year I smoke 4-5 cigarettes daily I did not stop smoking before surgery and still continued after surgery now I am worrying will that affect my graft survival rate and affect my over all results.please tell me by seeing my transplanted photos
I am three months post -op. I am not a smoker but occasionally maybe 2-3 times I go out to smoke hookah with friends. Would it be bad to smoke hookah at 3 months post op or better to wait longer or no longer smoke it at all?
I smoked pretty much straight away normally for two days after surgery but then cut down and used a e light fake cigarete. could i have damaged the folicules of new grafts and will my results now be poor if not completely unsucessfull? please help i am worrying badly as i spent 7 grand on nearly 3000 grafts with Dr Farjo - so will slowing down the process of healing make my transplant fail or give poor results?
I heard that smoking accelerate the hairs's cycle and the MPB hairloss, but also the hairs's cycle in the donor area (safe zone). If I stop smoking before and after my hair transplant, does the transplanted grafts from the donor aera will stay many years? Or will they fall very fast because of the smoke? Really anxious about it, thanks in advance!
