Can a women that is 188 pounds and 5'1 get a sleeve gastrectomy?

I use to weigh 248 pounds I went down to 188naturally. I been stuck/maintained my weight at 188, seem to have trouble losing the remaining 60-65 pounds. Is it possible or good for me to get sleeve gastrectomy surgery?

At 5’1” and 188 pounds, your Body Mass Index (BMI) is about 35.5. According to standard medical guidelines, bariatric surgery is usually recommended for patients with a BMI of 40 or higher, or a BMI of 35 and above if there are significant obesity-related health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or sleep apnea.
Since your BMI is just above 35, you could potentially qualify for sleeve gastrectomy if you also have weight-related medical issues. If you do not have any comorbidities, many insurance providers would not cover surgery at this BMI, though self-pay options may still be available in some centers. It’s also worth noting that you have already lost a significant amount of weight on your own, which is a major achievement and shows strong commitment.
The best next step is to meet with a bariatric surgeon, who can review your medical history in detail, check for any related health conditions, and discuss whether surgery is appropriate in your case. If surgery is not the best option, there are also new medical weight-loss treatments, including medications, that may help you break through the plateau.

If your BMI is above 35 (Yours is), then you can possibly get a Sleeve Gastrectomy!
Just google the BMI calculator, and add your height and weight. If the BMI is above 35, then call us for a consultation. 
If your BMI is between 30 to 35, then you qualify for Gastric Balloon only!

Yes-
Mostly we follow NIH guidelines. Bmi 35-40 with weight related illness, or bmi greater than 40 regardless of illnesses. 
In addition to other criteria such as medical indications and safety, behavioral health assessments, and so forth, which a Bariatric surgeon will assess individually
