I am 18 years old and have found out that I have two permanent teeth missing on my lower jaw. These are 2 molars (circled). My dentist told me i must have to baby teeth removed and close the spaces with braces. Ive been looking into fastbraces as I am very concsious of cost and the time it will take for the dental work to be complete, and fastbraces seems to be the most appealing for me. My other teeth are pretty okay, i have some minor crowding but my main concern is closing the gaps.
I'm not sure how I feel about rubber bands and I'm trying to decide if I want them or Invisalign. I know that Invisalign isn't always comfortable on your gums and I have sensitive gums. So I was considering fast braces but I haven't heard anything about rubber bands so I'm not sure if I want to get them or Invisalign.
I had a small gap between my two front teeth until I was 11 or so and lost my left top incisor and the adult tooth never came in. My teeth then spread out to compensate. As you can see I also have an overbite. Both my bottom and top teeth stick out more than they should. I am now 24 and can afford to get it fixed. Will Fast braces work for me? Or will I need other treatment??
FastBraces seem to good to be true... do they pose any threat to the future of your teeth, such as root resorption? One internet blog claims that one patient who underwent rapid treatment similar to this lost all their teeth within the next year or two. Could this happen to me?
I have worn braces before and had to end treatment before completed, I had braces due to open bite and gap in front teeth along with other small gaps between other teeth, I currently have a permanent retainer between my front 2 teeth. How severe is this case? How long for treatment?
I would like to fix my smile by my wedding 14 months from now. I have crowding on my upper and lower teeth. I also have a crossbite that an orthodontist said would be very difficult to fix at my age and could only be done with surgery. As my bite has never been a problem for oral care, I've decided I'm only interested in correcting my smile cosmetically. How long will invisalign, fastbraces, or regular braces take for me? Will I see results in 9 months? Or should I explore instant ortho instead?
I have a baby tooth at the front of my teeth, the root is showing so it is making the tooth look discoloured. Had an Invisalign consultation and was told I would not be able to have Invisalign as the baby tooth needs to be extracted and my teeth need to be shifted over. I wanted Lingual braces but have been told this is not possible due to my bite. I don't want train track braces. Is the only option Fastbraces? Have read a few bad things about Fastbraces. What are my options?
I've had my fixed retainers for 4 years. The top retainer broke a few months ago and has been a pain since. My dentist refitted it, but I felt the composite was too large as my lower canine kept hitting it. They shaved the composite down, but it subsequently broke again. I've had it refitted with very little composite but the canine still hits. My mouth is very close to being shut, and prior to this happening a few months ago I had no problems. Should I just get this canine shaved down
