Im 40. I has fat grafted undereyes instead of filler due to thin skin.i developed a bruise that sits a mm above the hollowest part. Its like a ridge/bump/groove which is much more noticeable than anything i had before.no explanation from dr.told me to apply arnica and at follow ups just tried to crush it with force making it more bruised and painful.anything i can do? I can't go back to her i have no faith.
Hi, I had a second facial fat transfer three years ago but it's left me with permanent marks under my eyes. I saw an aesthetician who said the muscle looks bruised and suggested laser treatment, but I'm concerned I might make it worse. (I have very delicate skin and tissues due to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.) Any advice?
Liposuction to lower 1/3 of face left me with little to no subcutaneous fat. I have now seen 6 PS, most local. Last 2 consults say that my buccal fat is gone (taken by lipo); dark bruising for 3 months there. Some say superficial fat transfer shows irregularities, deep fat placement into SMAS muscle recommended. Id like a staged procedure that replaces the fat where it came from (subcutaneous), but have been told the fat will die or look odd. Where should the fat be placed? Fat in muscle?!
I am 62 years old. I had fat transfers under my eyes, around the brow, and in the jowl area. Horrific swelling and bruising immediately after surgery. Eyes almost swollen shut. I am three weeks post-op and my cheeks are still huge, round black bruises on both of my cheeks. When I smile cheeks feel very stiff and smile is distorted. I look nothing like myself - more like a chipmunk. Since I am still bruised, can I assume that I am also still quite swollen? I'm starting to panic.
I know that at only 4 days, it's normal to have significant swelling. What I don't understand is how to treat it without damaging the tissue, while also helping the swelling subside. I had PRP along with the fat, which I thought meant faster healing. Is this correct? I've been told to ice it, but I'm concerned I'll damage it. In addition to liquids, arnica, and med pack, how do I treat this? Ice? How often? How do I avoid damaging it, since it needs to establish blood supply?
I had fat grafting to my cheeks done 3.5 days ago. Last night I accidentally rolled over and slept on one side of my face/cheek. My face looks okay, still swollen and bruised, but I am worried I damaged fat cells and will see the effects a few weeks from now. Any thoughts or advice would be helpful. Thank you!
Have dermal skin atrophy under eye (periorbital) and interested in nanofat for stem cell healing benefits to help regenerate dermal structure, but not looking to add any substantial bulk. I've read true nanofat is processed to break down all the larger fat cells to just leave a thin emulsion rich in stem cells. From reading, it seems some add PRP to enhance and use micro cannulas to inject so as to reduce bruising? Does this enhance effectiveness?
I had a procedure called nano fat cell transfer below my eyes+regular fat transfer to my cheeks. I developed bruising below the eye area after the procedure. Doc reassured me that it will resolve within 2 weeks&did medlite laser. The fat transfer on my face also seem to be not equal( 9 cc of fat on each cheek) He told me that the take of fat transfer alone is only 30%.Concerns; 1) the darkening under my eyes, permanent? 3) the fat transfer to cheek, how long will it take to see the final outcome?
